We appear to get a very short amount of injury time compared to them - rarely more than 3 mins, while EPL regularly get 5/6 even when nothing very serious has happened. Course, bheggars are allowed to play until the equalise or win!

Don't get the pace bit - I've never seen him REALLY run away from anybody once he's got past them. Think some of his general play looks a bit better on glimpses we've seen since Xmas - but ONLY when played on the left. I'm trying to hold off pillorying him for performances on the right for now, but it'll be interesting to see what breaks with Mervan's arrival.

Ref has the official & inspected match ball, so he's going to look after it in case he gets a wrong un back. Think in the days the OP remembers, we didn't do the half hour warm up before going inside to smarten up like we do now, but several of the team would carry a ball out and do a bit of shootie in and warming up in the 5 mins before kick off

Good point - Hibs actually had some good bits but couldn't score, we had a few more good bits & scored some belters. Thought Aluko held the ball up well & whenever the ball didn't stick first time, he got stuck in and almost always won it back, instead of letting it bounce off him or falling over. Also got him involved in the game throughout & was really pleased he got his goal, cos he really deserved it - despite not being fantastic in the air, that was the best performance at leading the line we've had all season.

Think it changed about 20 years ago. Gotta say that with late starts (like us today) AND injury time (both halves) AND taking a bit more than 15 mins at HT, does my box in when you look at Soccer Saturday at 4.55 & see the bheggars losing/drawing and think we're safe, then it turns out the bastards still have time to score!

Footwork's improving by the week, looking a genuine goal threat (was right behind that rocket he hit 1st half & it only swerved away very late) & he seems to like linking with Aluko. Had a bit of a rough 10 mins start of 2nd half, but overall was between him & Aluko for MoM IMHO.

First half didn't start til 3.05!
