  1. You raise good points SteveJ, I'd say that a 'sound business plan' will be a prerequisite to tempt many fans to part with hard earned cash. Personally I'd like to see the aforementioned funds directed towards running costs and ensuring that our club continues to adopt the same level of facilities as in previous years (if not better) e.g. ensuring that we have a well staffed coaching team, investing in youth development, monies to keep Ibrox in good nick etc.
  2. how about a 'pay what you like' set up for season tickets? Obviously there would be a minimum limit of say £250 - £300 for a base price, but at the same time allowing others to pay more (to benefit the club) should they want to.
  3. division 3 who gives a fuck, we're Glasgow Rangers and we're going up. the sfa can get to fuck, we're Glasgow Rangers and we're going up. Tbh lads, I don't care where I'm sitting, as long as I'm in Ibrox.
  4. could it be that dundee united are the only arabs in professional football without money?.
  5. would this be the same dundee united who recorded an average attendance of 7,481 (out of 14,209) last season. That works out to what...53% (rounded up). But aye, their fans will buy more season tickets this time round *cough cough* f*ck them. what a bunch of wankers

  7. Their boycott is an idle threat, within a season they'd start to creep back.
  8. I've copied all the average attendances from the espn link above, and added (in brackets) the capacity of each stadium. Also, these was no way I was putting them above us. 1 Rangers 46,324 (51,082) 2 Celtic 50,904 (60,832) 3 Heart of Midlothian 13,381 (17,420) 4 Hibernian 9,909 (20,421) 5 Aberdeen 9,296 (22,199) 6 Dundee United 7,481 (14,209) 7 Motherwell 5,946 (13,742) 8 Kilmarnock 5,537 (18,128) 9 Dunfermline Athletic 4,799 (12,509) 10 St Mirren 4,492 (8,023) 11 St Johnstone 4,169 (10,456) 12 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 4,023 (8,000) I realise that in terms of revenue, gate receipts will only provide a limited view. But let's be honest every side out with the top 2 will be hit with a major financial short fall without us in the SPL.
  9. According to ESPN, Kilmarnock managed an average attendance figure of 5,537 last season. Seemingly Rugby Park has a capacity of 18,128 (wiki). http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/attendance/_/league/sco.1/scottish-premier-league?cc=5739 Without the sky deal and our travelling support, the grim reality will hit home...without us they're f*cked.
  10. There's only one club in Scottish football that should be made to apologise for their immoral actions...instead they swept it under the carpet.
  11. Good shout pessimistic_pete, I got the same email this afternoon.
  12. hickory dickory dock, brazil sat on Torbett's cock, he thrust it up, he pulled them down, hickory dickory dock. bad taste i know
  13. i never thought that anyone could mention the name michelle mcmanus and the word famine in the same sentence.
  14. yea' that would be the main issue...the shirts might look slightly naff which nobody would want. saying that i'd rather see an additional sponsor on the jersey than e.g renaming ibrox for sponsorship money.
  15. i'm unsure of the specific contract we have with Tennent's (e.g did we agreed to have them as our sole sponsor or are we allowed more than one?), but does anyone think it would be feasible to add an additional sponsor to our shirt? personally i'd love to see the telecoms firm Orange logo somewhere on our strip, probably on the back.
  16. excellent post. i'd gladly sign up to this. similarly i know my dad, brother, grandad and several mates would as well. there's definitely potential.
  17. Yea' I never knew either TBF the last time I watched wrestling it was still known as the WWF.
  18. not a chance...but the British bulldog might be worth a shout.
  19. no idea, although it would be nice to hear news about a celeb consortium - similar to that of Portsmouth and Brian Howe (bad company).
  20. claudio cannigia and wee russel latapy.
  21. a friend of a friend (he was a tim) came out with the jelly and ice cream patter last night. My response was a simple one, asking why he was so obsessed with children's party foods... Do they use it as bait or something?
  22. Undoubtedly Walter Smith should be on the board. Also as a wild card appointment, I'd throw Jeff Randall's name into the hat.
