  1. Vital to get 3 points to keep pressure on septic.

Who have a tricky match after us today.

We must win our games in hand and stay close to them.

That's 2 old firm games we have lost by a goal,  both with highly controversial var decisions going against us.

Remember the ref gave a goal for us  at Ibrox only for him to change his mind after viewing tv footage.

Strangely at porkheid,  ref never saw handball incident but was alerted of var check presumably by willie collum?

It seemed strange that collum then decided it wasn't handball without getting Walsh to check tv evidence.

The belated "offside" footage was quite simply a cover story to try to justify that decision.

As clearly a deliberate handball did take place, despite some commentators saying remarkably it was accidental!!!!!!.

They bottled it, would giving Rangers a penalty and potentially sending off the culprit in front of 60k home fans be more than a likely explanation of the situation

Pub next to the Imperial might have it.  Not sure what it's called nowadays or if it's even still there, haven't been drinking in that neck of the woods for about 25 years.

    Think that's the Crown Bar.

Don't think many pubs will have viaplay.

And wont risk a hefty fine if streaming illegally,  but if anybody knows a pub or club in or near bellshill,  that can show the match? Let me know please.

Got a feeling Danilo starts tomorrow, still think it’ll be a struggle but we’ll do enough to get the 3 points. Clement  needs more time to sort the mess out Beale left behind, like he says it’s not going to happen overnight but we’ll get there. Confident as fuck we’re in good hands. I wanted Muscat but so fucking happy the board went with Clement now lol

I think it will be Sunday before Danilo starts,  more likely coming off the bench again.

I'm not saying that should happen,  but just a hunch that's how it pans out.

    Will know soon enough

Stay away from The Barnyard it's full of them. Carsons in Whifflet is your best bet down that way.

If you are are near Coatbridge main street you have The Segton Bar and the Orange Hall. The Gartsherrie Club is good aswell

Does anyone know if the Gartsherrie area is a reasonable area to live?

Im still looking at property and interested in a place within walking distance of Gartsherrie Bowling Club..

Anyone here a member of the bowling club?

    Many thanks.

We've been the same for years. Outwith Kent I'm struggling to think of a player who has made one of the wide forward positions their own. Most have either not been good enough or shoe-horned in to a wide position that isn't their natural position like Itten or Aribo.

I wouldn't like to count the amount of players we've tried as a right sided attacker.

We've not had a natural right sided player in that role since Candieas.

But also the lack of a dominant C.B. who is good in the air has been costing us goals for far too long

  6. I stated as soon as it was confirmed we were facing PSV

That we had to go 3 at the back against them.

Trouble is other than Balogun we didn't have the players , maybe Sterling?

But whatever formation chosen we were well beaten by a much better side.

Our defending was very poor by all.

Not just Tav, who gets crucified after any goal is lost

We all know neither full backs are the greatest defenders but both carry an offensive threat, which 3 at the back would have given both more protection when attacking.

I based this on being caught on the counter attack by a side with abundance of pace.

However it was criminal defending and not breakaways that was our downfall .

Goldson was outstanding in first leg, but both him and Soutar were a shambles in  Eindhoven .

So let's get our act together for a crack at the Europa

    Interesting thread.

I'm moving to coatbridge in a couple of months.

My nearest pub will be the barnyard.

    Not sure about its pedigree?

But looks like Carsons will be my local soon

Well , it's all change, t have been gazumped on my offer to purchase, the place I thought was getting,  despite initially being agreed .with the seller, estate agents, & my solicitor.

So I am looking at other options/areas. thanks for the advice on the area though

  8. I'm definitely in favour of 3 at the back v PSV.

    Their wingers are lightning quick.

Jack to sit deep in front of back 3 and cover for our full backs on forward runs.

It might look negative to many but we must get the tactics correct to face a team with real pace.

A bit of a throw back to the late Sir Walter's days  but it did work for him on many occasions.

Our fans must show patience in these ties.

  9. Anybody got updated contact details of the contact for the Polmont bus?

Looking for 1 seat for myself for Septic match on 3rd September,  picking up at laurieston war memorial.

In Europa group regardless of result tonight. Winning this tie just means we get a guaranteed 5 million quid parachute payment if we lose against psv/sturm graz

PSV look certain to qualify,  they have young lightning quick wingers , which will be a big problem for us if we qualify?

Our full backs are vulnerable defensively at the best of times, so we must get things tactically right if we are to face them.
