If it makes people's expectations about the coming season more realistic, then it's a good thing.

At least this gives us fair warning about the league campaign. The triumphalism displayed by some on here, with their ideas that we will break every record going, win every game 5-0 etc, was never a good idea. The next few months are going to be tough, but at least they'll be tough on the pitch, not off it. Let's be glad for that.

If we go about it in the right way we can make lots of friends. Anything that looks like arrogance or a sense of entitlement will not go down well. I don't want us to waste the opportunity of making friends here. We may need them in the future. As for the OP - yes, it's a very good idea.

If it finishes as a draw then are there penalties? I wouldn't have thought they'd have a replay for this competition.

I don't want to ban them. I'd like to see them sit and squirm as they watch Rangers winning.

I think they would look very foolish now if they went after the titles. There would be no international support for it, quite the opposite. Celticc would end up with an even worse reputation than they have already.

They may want to but are afraid of how it would look if they did. This way they keep their 'allies' on board by not dropping it and paying lip service to the punishment, but may (hopefully) be inclined to permanently put it on hold.

The SPL have reserved their position on that. It could be that they will just let it quietly drop out of embarrassment but don't want to do it in public.

Let's be honest. Sheff Wed and the Championship is a big step up from D3. It's a step up from SPL too for that matter.

The enemy are laughing their arses off at all this hatred. It serves no purpose and just makes us look like sad and bitter. If we get our licence then we should act with dignity, not like a rabble.

NOt a defeat either. This should not be a zero sum game. If we have to compromise and they ahve to compromise, so be it.

Try and understand that England is not an option. And that if we don't get a licence then there is no more Rangers. And if that happens then we'll lose those titles which are so precious anyway. Personally, I'd take survival over pride and dignity.

The only certainty if we don't get a licence is that we will be dead. I suspect that the other teams will be able to carry on somehow. Our position is nowhere near as strong as some like to think otherwise this would have been settled by now.

We're not on the league table either. Just a blank space for position 10. And to think some people were getting sniffy about being listed as The Rangers yesterday. I'd settle for that now.

What these fight them on the beaches types don't get is that we can't take a year out, we would simply close down for ever. We wouldn't just have a history, we would be history.

What is really worrying is that there haven't been any statements from anyone. Nothing about agreement getting closer, talks recommencing in the morning etc. Just silence.

Yes, we should be worried. Let's face it, the SFL are going to be a lot better informed than VB, so why would they remove us?
