  1. Agree those signings all need to be made but IMO the wide forward areas are more important than a new number 9. Sima, Cortés and Silva are all on loan which leaves us with McCausland, Wright and Matondo who have 10 goals in 86 appearances between them . Left back is going to need to be addressed too.
  2. The only thing that counts is whether your mate is coming across for the game or not?
  3. Overall Goldson is comfortably the best centre half at the club but on current form he isn't.
  4. 3 goals all season and 7 months since his last one.
  5. Still has a year left mate. He can sign a pre-contract next January. I'm not convinced he is the answer though based purely on any time I've seen him against us.
  6. It probably depends on what sort of budget we have in the summer. As it stands I don't think we will have much of a budget at all and just one of those players would probably be a huge chunk of that. If we win the league that would obviously change our budget drastically. Not sure there's much to be made in player sales to fund a summer spending spree either.
  7. I think we have a habit of buying knowingly injury prone players. When you add them to the regular volume of injuries that any team has over a season it probably makes our injury problems look worse than they are.
  8. My thoughts exactly mate however on the flip side there are a lot of posters who have more or less given up on the league, and the season even though the cup final is a 50/50. For them radically changing something like formation is completely logical even if I don't agree with it.
  9. I'm trying to think who the 4th is. Is it Declan John?
  10. I'm not sure that he is. None of them have an end product. None of them so they are all equally shite. MaCausland at least has room to improve at his age but right now is no better or worse than the other two. What's frustrating is that every now and again they all show a bit of quality, pace and directness which ultimately leads to nothing actually happening. Their numbers are all shocking for forward players whose main job is to create or score goals. Of they're not doing that (and they're not) then what's the point of having them on the park?
  11. For how much is the question. Based on his time in Scotland you can argue as low as a couple of million all to way up to basing the value on the potential which saw Wolves pay such a huge sum of money in the first place so ten figures. He has barely made much more of an impact than MaCausland and how much is he worth?
  12. Obviously the right decision regardless of which side made it (probably entirely mutual) but it will be interesting to see if affects performances. It genuinely could have an impact either way for numerous reasons.
  13. Sadly we were a far more attractive proposition back then. We could offer a lot more money (in relative terms) and having Advocaat as manager definitely helped as well. Same applies to signing Numan and Van Bronckhorst.
  14. Not sure it's his nationality that's the problem. He's just shite. We have Portuguese and a Brazilan forwards who have just the 10 goals between them.
  15. Get what you're saying but it's the Dundee match I feel we have the best chance of pulling some goals back. The scum took 7 off them at Parkhead and we absolutely battered them in the first half at Ibrox up until Cifuentes got sent off.
  16. You are correct he has scored 14 league goals but 20 in all competitions. Worth looking at it in context though. He's 3rd top goalscorer in the league but pay attention to the amount of starts and the relative number of 90 minutes he has completed compared to the players around him in this table. Worth noting that those around him have also taken penalties. Not saying he's world class as he's clearly not and he has missed some bad sitters however if you want to keep quoting the number of goals he has scored context is absolutely key.
  17. Fair enough mate. Obviously I hope you're wrong but I get how the team have made you feel that way in recent weeks. I just think you're overlooking that the scum aren't great either and anything can happen while they remain within reach.
  18. It was definitely a WOW save. For me anyway. I'm sure he was initially moving to his left before readjusting and saving with his right hand all in the blink of an eye. That was obviously the save which stood out but the one from outside the box down to his left was equally as good as it took a wicked deflection off Souttar which may have gone unnoticed in real time.
  19. You definitely have. Your recent negativity has been giving @esquire8 a run for his money. We're not favourites any more but need to stay with it for the remaining games and see what happens. We're pish but the scum are looking equally as unconvincing. People question our mentality but theirs is just as fragile. There's more I want to write but don't want to derail the thread. Stick with it mate. If we end up well out the title race then by all means fire away but now is not that time.
  20. No really. Pissed off 2 weeks ago at the Ross County game and made a comment which I didn't really mean when I felt he spilled the save for their second goal. Moved on from it except the cunts that keep @ing me every time he makes a save 😂. I've been saying at work for months that we've got a manager and a keeper but not much else 😂
  21. Before some cunt gives me a mention that's completely deserved. Pivotal to the 3 points today. The reaction save from close range was unbelievable.
  22. We're talking about the physicality of the game in Scotland, not any of the other attributes.
  23. Agree with that regarding Defoe and Roofe however Tom Daly across the road doesn't seem to relish the physical side and it hasn't stopped him. Again not suggesting Lammers should be a Rangers player when his loan spell ends.
