  1. Brilliant player and great for the team. I don't think Ashley's a problem but wages might be. We'll not know if we're in with a shout until after the play-offs
  2. Highs - feeling that we were embarking on a journey and would return to the top with a team that was young, vibrant and playing wonderful football. I enjoyed going back to Peterhead where I grew up and feeling the atmosphere. Similarly, getting record crowds felt good. Lows: Far too many to mention. Not knowing if we were going to be able play football at all. The way other clubs ganged up and even tried to strip our titles. Successive boards that have robbed us blind or at least had nothing to bring. The jury is very much out on this current board. Ally McCoist whose incompetence as a manager precipitated everything. He was unable to hold on to a 15 point lead, win in Europe etc etc. But most of all, he also destroyed the dream of the journey. He has also tainted his own legend status. I was genuinely fearful about the possibility of a mauling at Hampden in February. I feel disgusted with myself that I was relieved to have only lost 2-0. I don't ever want to feel that again. Hopes No matter what McCall's future at Ibrox, he has given us hope and has a group of players that were devoid of spirit playing football. He has given youth a chance and shown what happens when you do it properly. The new board have brought hope too but God help them if they let us down.
  3. Stop benefit cheats and scroungers so they can give it to tax cheats Actively promote the Union for the benefit of little Englanders- oh and then pull out of Europe to appease the far right. Lower taxes for the rich Cut our countries debt so we can pay the bankers more- they deserve it Does nobody remember the eighties? Jesus H Christ
  4. I'm afraid that posts that contain the amount of latent and mis-directed anger and vitriol as yours have already lost any argument. What's worse is that hatred of this kind only leads in one direction and nobody benefits except the people who seize power from it. I don't know what any of it has to do with Rangers but blind hatred helps no-one.
  5. I would take something for that mate. Just saying.
  6. I lived in Rhodesia during the civil war & I understand what you mean but you are a little wide of the mark. I don't see the connection at all
  7. Is this really a posts made by Gers supporters? Bloody hell!
  8. Is Graeme Souness, or Butch Wilkins still available? Or Terry Hurlock? Do you remember when we had a goalkeeper who was arguably the best in the world- certainly in Scotland? Those were the days.
  9. so that will be 3 out of the newcastle 5 to appear in the first team if he plays, along with a 4th playing for the development team. Well you're nothing if not consistent. I hope he is match fit quickly and figures in the run-in and the play-offs. He's a good player, Streete looked to be a good player and Vuckic has already proved his worth. It begs the question: How bad is Mbabu?
  10. He's a good player and I really didn't want him to go, but he is injury prone, Brentford will still want him and we have other players coming through Murray Park that deserve a chance.
  11. I think the only reason people think this way is because they are scared of failing. Staying in the Championship would mean stagnation with no guarantee of promotion. I'd take second, but only if there's no first place.
  12. Nah, that's too cheap. He's good enough for the first year of the Premiership under proper management and with dynamic players that bring him into the game around him. Until McCall arrived, he was on holiday with Waldo!
  13. I think we have waited so long for any answers to real questions that we've got bored. I'm a tax inspector so don't expect the BTC announcement to make any difference either. It won't. Eventually, when the dust settles, everyone will realise how ridiculous it was to vote Rangers out of the SPL and UEFA will tell the SFA to quit pissing about punishing its best club and get rid of the SPL, which is worthless.
  14. Man, sometimes getting involved in anything on this site is like pushing a string u a hill. I'M BEING DRIVEN INSANE.
  15. Is the OP serious? I haven't come across this kind of naivety since.... well that's a story involving priests, primary schools and Jimmy Savile. We credit these guys with too much class if we even consider for one moment they think with anything other than their wallets (yes I know McGregor keeps his down his trousers). Of course they took a temporary pay cut but what choice did they have? When people say "it's not about money," you know it's about money.
  16. Me thinks that BDO have got their Beady Eyes on that cash. They've got real legal powers. The cards are still falling onto the table, it's going to be pretty satisfying watching those chairmen and the members of the idiocracy squirming this year.
  17. I support Rangers out of my love of football and its traditions. I don't want my club to be a place for the expression of hatred and intolerance.
  18. This is great news and I think it was now or never for this title stripping nonsense. The tide has turned and there is a sense that justice has been served. Only Pacific Shelf is interested in title stripping as a sanction and their god has feet of clay. Their self-righteous hypocrisy about tax avoidance has been shown as a disingenuous farrago of lies conducted by people living in glass houses. Everyone else knows the fight would once again threaten to destroy Scottish Football and FIFA would become involved because so many football clubs have and still use this system and one of its members would be receiving unfair treatment. No, it's likely that there will be an investigation and that Rangers' previous directors have a case to answer. It is also probable that there may be further sanctions - fines etc, but I think Rangers in the SFL is the future and the SFL knows it. The SPL is dying of its own self inflicted cancer and will be mourned by few. Bring on Brechin and bring on The Bloo Toon. What an aptly named town for our first league game.
  19. They can't agree how big the dots should be or how long to make the crosses.
  20. FFS bears, have we all got our period? Simmer down, we're amongst friends.
