  1. Always thought Lovell talked sense. More intelligent, and fairer, than the average numpty pundit.
  2. His distribution is poor, but the important goals he conceded last season came from his inability to deal with crosses. He will never improve at that, the teams we play in Scotland know this and will just lump high balls into the box until we inevitably concede. He is now a liability.
  3. Honestly don't know what he has to offer in the dressing room or the training pitch. A fine shot-stopper mostly, but his distribution is poor and he is incapable of dealing with crosses.
  4. Huge mistake to give McGregor another contract.
  5. Missed that mention. Good stuff.
  6. Rangers crest on prominent display on flag at Trent Bridge ...
  7. Still recovering. I was at the Bayern game in 1972 and always said nothing would beat that atmosphere, but Ibrox last night surpassed it. All that was lacking was Kent sitting on the ball, like Bud in '72! That referee would probably have yellow carded him though ...
  8. I saw him play - very decent player.
  9. Further emphasises the need for a complete rebuild of the defence over the summer.
  10. Which is why I've never had any time for the argument that we need so-called hot-shot Scottish entrepreneurs with 'Rangers connections' running the show. Characters like Alastair 'expenses' Johnston, King, Park and the rest of them, who lack the skills and connections to leverage significant external investment in the club, but pursue their own interests, which sometimes coincide with those of the club, sometim s not. We get mediocre leadership, plus the hypocrisy.
  11. Always check the silver after doing any deals with dodgy Dave. Past experience suggests that he would want any cash he 'gives' to the club repaid in full at some future date
  12. This. Plus - why are some of us suddenly re-engaging with the tabloids that hate our club?
  13. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt until tonight, but that was dire, and his refusal to use subs indicates that he couldn't respond to the challenge facing him.
  14. Despite the win, I'm now worried about the manager, for the first time.
  15. No, but he didn't respond to the changes they made, which were obvious to those of us sitting in the stand.
  16. Half time against Dortmund, the manager made changes that got us the result. Half time against Motherwell, he failed to respond to their changes. Which will it be tonight?
  17. This. I could understand all this 'the league's lost' shite if we had put in a gutless performance today, but we didn't. There's enough points still available for us to win the league from this position. Folk saying the league is already lost have clearly forgotten how we have won titles from far worse positions than this
  18. He has failed in most coaching posts (Kelty aside, perhaps, but that's low-level stuff). He 'writes' for our enemies in the media. Yet some fans still want him to have a role at Ibrox ...
  19. Second half performance has been ok. Shame the game was over by half time.
