  1. Rangers players singing after a victory - surely this must be referred to the SFA Compliance Officer?
  2. Really? They must have updated the match highlights as there was nothing on the Morelos incident when I looked earlier. Or is it in that separate piece they did on the penalties perhaps? I didn't view that as I expected it to be a whine-fest ...
  3. Me neither. Which joker have they selected from the clowns parade to referee on Wednesday?
  4. Absolutely. On Wednesday night Thompson failed to award us two penalties, awarded one that was not a penalty to Cowdenbeath, and allowed a guy to score from a rebound although he was encroaching within the box when the kick was taken. Not a word about any of this from the media supporters of the establishment club. Yesterday's game provokes extensive whining and moaning from all the usual suspects.
  5. The match 'highlights' on the BBC Scotland website feature an extended whine from the 'commentator' about three of the penalties, but, strangely does not even show the Morelos incident.
  6. No going back. Keep them in the pen from now on.
  7. Apart from a couple of lapses into the old Andy H mode, when he gave the ball away in dangerous positions, it was another assured performance from the new Andy. All credit to the player himself for improving his game, and to Steven Gerrard for rebuilding the guy's confidence.
  8. The SFA will be researching the use of sanctions in the Penn State case. Of course they will.
  9. I think it's the player whose neck is on the block if he is unable to make the squad for a game like this in these circumstances. I hope he is in the squad today though, and gets a chance to prove his worth. If he isn't even in the squad he surely must be sent back to Rome in January?
  10. BBC Scotland still has characters like Gordon, McLean and the rest. I'm happy enough if they still stay away from Ibrox. I would be content to have the BBC broadcasters from England (5 Live etc) there though. Guess we can't have one without the other, but let's not kid ourselves that the removal of one bad egg from the Glasgow outfit will solve the problem.
  11. Absolutely. I loved watching the West German team on TV in those days - much preferred them to the Dutch, actually. So, to see most of them playing at Ibrox was extra special. I was at the game the year before (I think it was ) when we played Bayern in the Fairs Cup and they scored a goal direct from a supposedly indirect free kick and it was awarded. In the 1972 game, I think the moment I knew we had them was when Beckenbauer and Maier stated arguing with each other. That, and Bud sitting on the ball!
  12. ECWC Semi Final 2nd leg, v Bayern Munich 1972. Been waiting for another night like that since I was 12.
  13. I was at that pre-season friendly. I think someone ran onto the park and tried to have a square go with Alan Ball ...
  14. Brilliant photo. Brings back memoriies. When it rained we headed across to the cover.
  15. Martin and Hodson in the same squad - two of the most limited footballers I 've seen play for us.
  16. My heart sinks every time I read that one of our players has been called up for that mob. Injury risks plus the possibility of jeering and abuse from the Nat hordes.
  17. We'll need another striker to cover Morelos's suspensions.
  18. Statement clearly written for him since he struggled to put a coherent sentence together in his interview. Assume there will be no sanctions from the authorities or his club.
  19. Hope he feels able to say so in public.
  20. Yes, although our response might be strengthened if we wait a few hours and then say that we have waited in vain for a response from either the authorities or his club. Puts them all in the dock. We certainly need to get a statement out at some point though.
  21. Silence from the club he captains though?
  22. The wee teams and their wee players have already seen the incompetent Scottish referees do their work on us this season, so the tactic is to attempt wind-ups before the game in the hope that they'll get a silly reaction on the pitch. It's their only hope, and they know it. Our reaction needs to be clever and clinical.
  23. Ha ha! Not sure what happened here!
