I can see both sides of the argument, but, for me it's purely down to what's best for us as a club and that is probably Division 1. The sfa and spl are forcing this upon the SFL to save their own necks, this has absolutely nothing to do with helping The Rangers Football Club. TBF it's a delicate balancing act, especially as we haven't got our SFA registration. That carrot is being dangled to make sure we play ball.
