In June last year, I agreed to be match sponsor to my local (who will remain un-named !!) 2nd division side as part of a package with 3 other games throughout season to give them much-needed financial support. When this date was announced, I was gutted but I don't go back on my word so will have to get on with it !! Voted no - The man has given us some FANTASTIC memories over the years - Winning championships with players like Gazza, Laudrup, De-Boer gave us some REAL GOOD times & he will always be remembered as the man who took us to 9 in a Row BUT We need change, It's time for fresh ideas.

At this point in season & needing to stop the Mhanks from winning another title, I don't give a flyin fuck how well we have played if, after 90 minutes we have 3 more ponts chalked up. It would be nice to play well AND win, but if I can only have 1 of the 2 it's a no-brainer !!

He's done enough in last few weeks to have earned his place - He's scored spectular efforts, he's scored poachers toe-pokes & he's scored from lucky deflections but he is playing harder & better than any time since signing. If he lost place in side now it would be a crap way to treat a man who does what he's paid to do & does it very well !!!

If anyone can teach these guys about having the correct attitude against the tims, Gough can - His "No Surrender" attitude in his old firm battles was quite something, If we had a quarter of his commitment & desire to win in todays squad we would have league wrapped up already !!!! Simple fact - Boyd does not deserve to get dropped, Without his goals (toe-pokes, deflections off his backside, Whatever !!), The league would be long gone & Timmy would already be gloating because we have nobody else (individually or collectively) who would have got us the goals Boyd has !! He has vastly improved his work rate & is TRYING to be more of a team player. Come on KRIS !!!

If ever a player deserved credit it's Boyd. He's constantly slagged by his own support as well as opposition & our "highly knowledgeable ??" media writers, etc . But still he keeps on coming back and doin what he's best at - Scoring goals !!! Keep it up Kris

An argument that could rage forever but IMO, effective captains must play central midfield or defence - They must be able to read, if not be up, with play for the whole game - So, with current squad - It has to be Thomson & I believe he will mature & improve with the responsibility. Davis is certainly a strong candidate but Thomson has that "wee something" to give him my vote.

Mendes was poor....But I knew he was playing today. He tackled, he intercepted 2 cut backs which were dangerous and he cleared Glen Loovens effort off the line amongst other things. He didnt cost us the game, he didnt fail to pick up his man. If Barrys cross was lower Boruc would have grabbed it I dont expect Boyd to score in the big games and he is not as prolific as he is made out to be. He misses a lot of chances, but if you stand upfront for 90 minutes against lesser teams you will eventually score. Thats not good enough against Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell or in Europe. Also, If you are having a bad game the very least I expect from a player is hard work, effort and determination. Something Mendes gave and Boyd never. Mendes gave hard work, effort & determination - I must have been watching a different game !! I'll give him the one off the line,yes - But otherwise he was lethargic & as uninterested as about 6 others !!!!!

Im with you mate - some absolute pigs support this football team and look for scapegoats Boyd is a player who will take a chance as well as anyone in the game but he never got the delivery today, he was thrown on after 70 minutes and expected to produce a goal out of thin air. Distribution in the final third is our down fall, not boyd. He's a great player and we should want him at our club instead of treating him like a piece of shit He was asked to go out a give a performance and mark his man at set pieces. He failed to do both and failed to score..... He was useless So he copied Mendes, Ferguson, Weir, Davis & co - What sets him apart ?? They all done something in the game. They played poor granted, but they weren't a man down Not poor - Awful !! Ferguson is a bigger pretender than Boyd, Mendes was a MAJOR disappointment, Davis wouldn't have scored if he'd played till christmas - Need I go on ? What is it with Kris Boyd ? Why is he so hated by his own support (sorry, so-called support !) ? The guy was NOT, By a LONG shot the worst player in side today AND he had less time to do anything in game than most of the others !! Yes, he has flaws in his game Yes, He is lazy Yes, He's no Torres Yes, He is a huffy bastard sometimes -- BUT, HE IS ONE OF OUR TEAM, HE HAS SCORED SOME MEGA-IMPORTANT GOALS & HE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING & NOT AN ANIMAL WITH NO FEELINGS OR EMOTIONS - GIVE THE GUY A BREAK FOR FUCK SAKE !!!!!

So here we are again, Another defeat by the tims & it's all the fault of our 73rd minute substitute - Give me fucking strength !! Yes - Boyd was pish when he came on, but the rest of the team were so fucking dismal without him that it was just another "last throw of the dice" by Wanker Smith to give him the perfect deflection from himself and for everyone to blame " that useless, fat, bastard Boyd" who, once again is the easy target for criticism - Barring possibly Whittaker, Papac & Lafferty, The whole team was an embarassment, BUT, The person who deserves criticised the most is our manager. He has, today fielded the worst use of a 1st team squad I can ever recall & should be fucking well ashamed of himself.
