I agree Papaguy & I think the goal record argument has been used once too often, I am just surprised at how many have changed opinions & think Lafferty can do the business for us. If the big man plays I hope he has a blinder & shocks me !!

What has Boyd done to justify a place in the team on Sunday? On past old-firm games I understand all the arguments about Boyd not playing - I just don't reckon Lafferty has shown enough yet for his inclusion, He won't carry any more of a goal threat than Boyd in my opinion.

I too think he just MIGHT be ok in the long run - I also admit in the last couple of games he's played in he's looked OK, My point is more about why not so long ago a large majority on here thought he was shite & now want him into side for arguably the biggest league game of the season so far .

And he's been a rip-roaring success at that for us so far !!

With limited finance available, the SIMPLE question is :- With all the "Goal Assisting Players" listed, Do we have anyone or could buy anyone so prolific who could convert all the "Superb ????" chances we create ??????? NO - Absolutely NO !!!

He's proved he's more than capable of getting players to play his way & get results. Could he do it at a club our size ? Not so sure. Wouldn't say definite no though.

We could argue all day about who would or would not be in our favourite 11, But don't think many would argue that Murray's selection is a pretty damn fine one !!!!

Boyd & Miller up front - No excuses !!!!!!!

We spent most of the day in Wigan pre-match where the atmosphere & acceptance by local bar staff & public was absolutely FANTASTIC, Walking between pubs the passing cars were peeping & shouting for us to "Do the Business" I have NEVER enjoyed the pre-match build up to ANY game EVER like that one. Then we travelled into Manchester, and had a few pints on the balcony at Picadilly Station Bar watching all the bears coming & going (which was outstanding !!). The walk to the City Stadium was the highlight of my life but the aftermath was a disaster. The best footballing day ever was ruined by the result (obviously) but enhanced by our reputation being smashed again !! For good & bad, I will never forget !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never before has a club taken that level of support to any 1 place & I doubt in my lifetime if it will ever happen again- What memories !!!!! :unionflag:

I'm with you mate. I thought he put 110% in today and cannot be dropped next week. In fact it's probably one of the easier team selections we have to make all season. Bougherra at CB, Kirky at RB, Novo for Lafferty on left. 4-0 gers and back on track for the league title. What a prediction mate, Hope your even half right !!!! :unionflag:

Everything points to him NOT directing it at Burley - That's a shame, because the man must feel like a right fucking prick these days & thoroughly deserves to have the piss taken right out o him !!!!!!

It's taken years to find a capable & effective front-two striking partnership - We seem to have FINALLY got it, Boyd starting beside Miller is an absolute No-Brainer !!!!
