I’m not sure what your point is? Atalanta are one of the top teams in Serie A and thus are accustomed to a certain standard of player. Just cause he’s not good enough for them doesn’t mean he couldn’t do a job at a lesser/bottom half team in that division.

Lammers won’t cut it in a kick and rush league like the SPL. He’s clearly better suited to a slower paced/more technical league like in Holland or Italy. I reckon that’s exactly where he will be playing again next season… probs for a bottom half Serie A team or a mid table Eredivisie team.

With only 164 successful passes completed in 90 minutes… it clearly shows our midfield struggled big time tonight. It was mainly down to how PSV played… Dessers was isolated but Sima wasn’t making himself available.(he was also out of position quite a lot) We definitely need to handle their press a lot better… but we need an outball.

I’m not sure if they are better. Definitely more aggressive in their play though. as soon they lose the ball they swarm to win it back as quickly as possible and they are always looking to attack. Last season they were a lot more pragmatic and cautious. We tried to slow the play down tonight and but we just couldn’t keep the ball long enough. All we had to offer was counter attacks.

Matondo 6 months ago doesn’t even attempt that shot on the edge of a box. Thats a sign of a player who’s finally got abit of swagger and confidence behind him.

For sure. There’s next to nothing between Luzern and Servette so they’ve done really well to be honest.
