If the majority of people in this country vote because of their football team rather than reasons such as the ones I said above then we are fucked as a country either way and better cling on to the union for dear life!

Imagine if you will, that Scottish Independence meant that the country was better off. Better schools and hospitals. Less poverty and crime. More money per head and an all round higher standard of living. A better and safer country to raise your children equating to them being happier throughout their lives. Would you say no to that because of the tradition of your football team? I dont personally think independence would make us any better off, so for that reason alone I would vote to stay part of the union.

I think youll find she can show the matches. The only thing Sky own is the right to broadcast the games they pay for on the UK airwaves. This decision by the courts shows she has broken no laws as she is simply using a dish and decoder to receive Greek signals. When sky sell the broadcast to other countries they waive any copywrite they hold over the pictures. The company they sell it to has the right to broadcast it in their country, Sky merely provide a filming service to these peoplein the same way you or I can hire a cameraman to film anything.

Nothing to do with rights. Sky charge foreign TV companies for their broadcasts, which is cheaper than the companies coming and doing it themselves. Theres probably something in the contract saying the home based broadcaster must pass on/sell its broadcasts. Sky dont choose which TV companies to give it to, the rights are sold by the FA. I also wouldnt be surprised to discover most channels showwing the games in spain etc are also owned by NewsCorps anyway

What if TV money across Europe had to be split evenly between UEFA member associations in the same way TV money in Scotland has to be split amongst all teams? Meaning the FA of Lithuania get the same cash as England etc Sounds ridiculous, but is it anymore ridiculous in principle than Dunfermline getting the same money for their games as Rangers?
