  1. terrified of no one but a small dose of reality wouldn't go a miss. We don't have the team for it. It would be in the record books as a pumping. I'd prefer face to face with players that are capable.
  2. They would horse us silly. I don't want to give them a head start. Now is not the time. We'll be ready when in the top flight.
  3. That reception he got would have made him 10ft tall. He gave that look round the 'Brox knowing the bears are behind him. Battle fever, Fernando. Stay strong.
  4. boy went in hard i think and bounced off him, big man gave the strongman look kissing his biceps.
  5. I had tae laugh. I got my auld man signed up to Vb a few years ago as he'd be in good company, a few Partick lads and all that, I showed him how the tinternet worked, showed how forums worked (his first PC at 65 years young btw ) and he got bumped a few weeks later as he forgot/ never knew how to post. "haw Davie, canne get oan tae that van site" -"did you introduce yourself ?" "tae who? could only see words, is there a web cam thingy tae say hullo?" "naw dad, did you post?" -"post a letter? who do ah post a letter tae?" fux sakes "do you know whit dad, phuck it, never mind, just leave it" -"leave it where?"
  6. I went when we had that 2 day heatwave, great time on the top deck. It was an excellant tour, the lads & lassies were brilliant. You'd need to do it a few times to take it all in. The other thing was, even working up the 'Toon for 20 years, it was the first time I looked up to see the buildings, we truly have some outstanding buildings with great architecture. Plus being slapped in the face by a tree branch going past Kelvingrove
  7. It's not that kind of thread bear, spread the love
  8. can't get the quote but Angus Young said he was a wee boy in a sweet shop meeting Sir Walter.
  9. big honest player with a bit of skill... Leads that line well.
  10. Michael all the way. I thank the fact we managed to get a few years of the prince of Denmark but Michael was a special player. His auld man wasn't too bad either, Youtube him, that running style goes through the family.
  11. He's the media darling. an out and out nice guy. edit- i remember meeting him in the Sherbrook with his agent (Mel Stein?), and I drunkly stoated into his company asking for his autograph and he couldn't have been nicer considering the way I barged in. He's a credit.
  12. Nothing really wrong with the forum that you don't get on others. Qunt of a job for the mods and Admin all the same. Just a passionate support . I like to read Bears opinions. I use here for a wee break away from FF. You get varied thoughts on here, I like to read Boss, Cov, EA, Bluedell (where is he?), Frankie, the Vanguard lads and a few other lads. Peace Brothers, we all support the teddies. If we could package the support we'd be a force. The infighting does us no favours.
  13. Does the chap, Cov still post? Always enjoyed his posts over by.
  14. I know when Miller Reid (owned Reids of Pertyck, The Esquire House- Anniesland) was part of Thistle the Queen was in one of the offices. Could have been down to his dad though, I'm not sure.
  15. I don't know if any Bears are looking for Christmas ideas but I managed to buy a print for my auld man of the Barca 72 print last year seeing he was there , replica of the one in the trophy room. Sits proudly in his Rangers Room.
  16. My faither had this portrait alongside Burns in his apron on his fireplace wall. Local plod in Partick would make excuses to come up and see them along with the identical clock that Ajax have
  17. Souness put the one above the door of Her Maj, I could be wrong in saying Butcher put the one above the dressing room pegs.
  18. My faithers favourite player. Stay well Sandy, keep yourself tip top before getting into the firing line. We are all saying a prayer.
  19. The very reason why I told the lad on the phone I'll never renew. I don't understand why we get yahoos commenting on our games. I like a bit of sound, I can't pay money to watch TV with the sound down. If it wasn't bad enough having Gerry McNee and Charlie Knickerless on our Champs League on STV years ago, we get Davie Provo and Fat Crocker on league games.. WTF is wrong with these people? A minor change recently but still Yahoos. Is it still McBungles nephew directing Sky Scotland? "oh here's the 12" version of Walk alone, let's sit back and enjoy" Aye, jog on.
  20. I like him, good engine on him, eye for goal. Hope he gets it.
