I agree. I've been sceptical of some of his signings since he's returned but, at this stage of the campaign, it seems he's been very wise. We're always going to have a section of the support that look for big name signings to win things but a good squad with a bit of depth will always do better than one or two big wage earners.

While the remaining fixtures are a bit daunting I don't think any one of us would wish it to be any different! I, for one, am astounded at how we've handled all the pressure and games thrown at us in recent weeks and if someone had told me this would happen at the start of this season I'd have laughed in their face. If the team can dig deep and get the needed results this may be the finest season ever for the mighty Gers. None of the (so called) negatives will be remembered, only that we won!! As I said in the other thread, when I talk about negative coverage I talk about the less savory stuff as opposed to the actual on-the-park discussions. There's no doubt when it comes to actual football discussion both teams suffer equally in the main - depending on who is on top/bottom at any given time (just to keep your analogy going)... Obviously, there's absolutely no way the 'success theory' is applicable to the off-the-field stuff so, generally it's a flawed conclusion to suggest anti-Rangers stories will stop just because we're winning again. I had to laugh cos my boss was, just last week, bemoaning the fact that unsavoury stories always pop up about Celtic right before old firm games in a classic fit of timmy paranoia. Thern or Albertz's strikes were fantastic along with Konterman's rocket. My favourites, however, were Bo Anderson's double in the new year game and (can't remember who hit the ball) the one where Rab Douglas just let the ball slip between his legs like a numpty, that still gets me pissing myself when I think about it.
