Jimmy Currie used to organise and lead tours to the Holy Land 2 or 3 times a year during the 80`s, I met him in Israel when I was working out there. When he arrived at our place with the coach (or coaches, his tours were always very popular) - he would dive off and kiss the ground wearing his Rangers scarf, dog collar and kilt. He would then beseech you on bended knee that him and his pilgrims be afforded shelter at this gaff - or words to that effect. His Tour Groups were always good fun and would organise the next lot to have someone bring you out any important stuff you might need - like Brut aftershave or 200 Regal. Rev. Currie was a larger than life character who never forgot a name and was genuinely funny. Prince or Pauper he was always the same, although some on his busses thought he was a better comic than tour guide.
