  1. I see a lot of talk about free speech, that has never to my knowledge been the law in the UK yet I see it mentioned on newspaper opinion pages frequently too. Even here in the States which did boast of free speech that has changed over the last few years.
  2. Fair enough, sorry to have upset anyone, wasn't the intention. I just found it infuriating having read thru a very decent thread regards promoting youth players, Nacho is done The toothless crack whore from Compton was an analogy probably best not suited to Novo or any old Rangers players, it's a place in LA by the way.
  3. The trouble with Rangers Men is that they put us in the gutter, if it weren't for Green we would never have emerged from that very dark place. King is happy to wait until we are back in with the big boys before he acts, I'd rather he would have got involved in some meaningful way by now, even working with those running the show at the moment. He wants the hard work done before stepping in at minimum cost to himself but I don't think it should be forgotten his last meaningful involvement at the club was amongst the architects of our near-destruction - he has done zilch to aid our rise back to the top thus far, nada. VLV.
  4. Totally agree, there were far better SPL teams than those Hibs outfits never made it, Ally is right in setting the barometer high. VLV
  5. Come on, Morton, Alloa? Nacho is a Legend and that's what upsets me seeing him released from non-entities as has been happening, I think your loyalty is getting in the way of fact here chaps. VLV
  6. No way back for him after criticising Ally for supposedly 'stringing him along', that should have been the end of any talk of Novo returning, and rightly so. Watching Nacho hawking himself about mediocre Scottish clubs like a toothless crack whore in Compton is an embarrassment in truth.
  7. I agree. Mirko Slomka the former Schalke and Hannover 96 Head Coach has intimated he would like to coach abroad, he would certainly bring fresh perspective. VLV
  8. Surprised they haven't done so yet, only a matter if time. Wallace and our legal team should both release briefs in due course - the fact that the tabloid report may be libelous is no doubt delaying the official Statement, hopefully it will not miss when released, these cretins need to be told in no uncertain terms. In fact Sandy Easdale would probably be better delivering the riposte, that would shut the haters up.
  9. This reeks of bullshit all the way, I expect the club will react with a stern official statement asap.
  10. Gotcha! That took a while! I like big Daly, he badly needs a partner up front tho due to his lack of mobility, Jon has the presence but it's taking far too long to get support to him. After Wallace and (maybe) Bell he's probably the most accomplished player on our books atm. VLV
  11. I reckon his pointed tail slows him down somewhat, should never have been brought to the club in the first instance.
  12. Hardly the Book of Revelations, reads like a half-finished blog although I did like the "self-absorbed buffoons with fake posh accents and unwashed corduroys" line VLV
  13. John Hartson was the one that got away, out of players we were paper linked with I'd loved to have seen Ulf Kirsten or Vialli at Ibrox.
  14. Ewing Grahame is a Jambo, your second line is bang on though, Ally should zip it.
  15. I don't entirely disagree with what you say there mate, however while with us it's apparent he had a vision of a more prudently run club. Despite some of Green's outlandish claims there is more than reasonabe evidence to suggest that (as thehost indicated) Charles' was looking to stabilise spending for the benefit of the club long-term. Having been through the mill I'd have thought this model to have been popular with both fans and shareholders (though many of us are now both). Administration is just fantasy and not going to happen but if the club is hamstrung upon our return to the top level by needless spending incurred now then who has the blood on their hands? That's what should be up for debate. VLV
  16. I don't think Green agreed with the overspending, his hand was probably forced on that matter, he was in a weak position following his daft comments. Was he wrong to have concerns though, does Wallace attempting to reduce our wage bill significantly now not support Charles' instincts? VLV
  17. Not devastated but I'm a little disappointed how it turned out with Andy, had decent hopes for him when he signed and thought he would have seriously challenged for a first team place years ago. Best wishes any road. VLV
  18. bang on, this could be excellent news for the club but people are too quick to shit on it, it's out there now so we will see what develops. & Monkey Man having a pop at Green is farcical, no one else wanted the club enough or had the wherewithal yet he is now made out to be a pariah. Laughable if the whole episode wasn't so serious. When will some folks accept that there was no other serious contender bar Bill Miller? Run out of town by the usual clowns who are more interested in raising their personal profile within the support and could care less what damage they inflict on Rangers in doing so. VLV
  19. I think you make a fair point though Wallace gives the impression that he will exhaust many other avenues in a bid to lower outgoings. Like you I'm not at all convinced the players will agree but it makes perfect sense for Wallace to pursue reductions as the savings would be notable, particularly considering what some of our team take home atm. VLV
  20. Feel the same way, have high hopes for Wallace, definitely comes over as upfront and honest. I think Green done a lot more for our club than some idiots give him credit for but Charles was prone to rather extreme bouts of hyperbole VLV
