Think work started in 1991 and opened in 92
Here's how it looked with old stand
I think jcdbigbear is right when he said "The type of photography makes things look different such as making distant objects look much closer." prob. something to do with the height and angle it's been taken at.
Aye , he could be right but that image in back ground is weird , it actually looks like a terracing with a guy stood in it

It actually does mate but that type of photography makes more distant objects look far closer and can give a false impression. The Broomloan Stand is not in the picture because the picture isn't wide enough to show it. The new main beam structure is not at the front of the main stand, it is set a fair bit back. You can see the enclosure in the photo. The edge of the Broomloan does not start in line with the main stand. What you can see in the photo where you think the Broomloan should be is actually on the other side of Broomloan Road.
Will need to give you the benefit of doubt here , not convinced , I’m trying to think back when club deck was put on and I’m convinced the structure you can see wasn’t in broomloan road , I’m certain there used to be a security company based at that end of street , would you not be able to see Wee Rangers Club aswell ?I’m from Renfrew and must have walked up to the ground hundreds of times that way

Edmiston Drive takes a bend at the junction with Helen Street. The Broomloan Stand is not in the photo as it doesn't extend to be in line with the edge of the Main Stand. The main beam they are erecting in the photo is considerably behind the front edge of the Main Stand and enclosure.
Certainly doesn’t bend like that and what is in picture where broomloan should be ?

I don’t think the main beam looks like it’s in the right position either and if you look at the West Enclosure it’s clearly bending

Ah right nice one, I use to stay across from Trinity above the Masonic Lodge. Once met Durrant, McCoist and McCall who were at a wedding there.
Pretty sure the 19th hole is now called the jack pot (I stayed there 2 years ago so probably changed now). Always drank in the Black Bull just next to the bingo hall.
It's back to the 19th again , Black Bull's still going strong , Prince of Wales is lodge , Trinity was the old Renfrew High before new school was built

Your right, that rings a bell .He must have moved to Pearson Drive when he came back from Arsenal and got married.
I walked along Pearson Drive going to school , early 80's , and he'd be no bother for signing stuff. He only had 1 kidney if I remember right

Dave McKinnon lived near to the Nineteenth Hole pub on the High Street,Renfrew across from Milburn Housing scheme.
It was either Charles avenue or Edwards avenue.
He married local girl Linda Paton whose dad had a bus company and lived in Pearson drive.
This was before Dean Park was built
Didn't see your post before I replied
