  1. I think its more the cloak and dagger stuff with Ashley

We don't want any more hush hush deals

We want transparency after everything that has went on the last few years

Ashley could do a 5 minute interview or personal statement and totally turn the tide with the right words

Actions speak louder than words however, so let's see what he does

If we do draw the Tims in SF the eyes of Europe will be in the game after everything that has happened

If he wants Rangers to appeal to a wider fan base he will need to stump up for a few player come January

sorry but the cloak and dagger stuff has to stay. No director with any sense is open about his plans in detail. You must realize:

It would betray a business's competitive advantage not to mention giving our many enemies all the info they need to shaft us and frustrate pur efforts. Look at the grief the rtc and charlotte leaks caused. Was that enough openness?

  2. Yet again we struggle to beat far lesser sides.

Ally got lucky again today but we mustnt let beating a few diddy teams take our eye off the bigger picture. Every time we face a half decent team we get cuffed.

The team is still poorly motivated, poorly selected and poorly trained.

Every time hes got a boot on the exit door he gets a few results against diddy teams, folk calm down and hope springs that he is turning a corner.

Then we hit the buffers and the cycle goes again.

    in a nutshell
  3. That was at least very close to our strongest 11 on the park today if not our strongest, and in the end we came away lucky to get 3 points, we should be brushing shite like this aside yet we are having to take the ball into the corner and waster time to see games out, embarrassing.

Every chance we will be 9 points behind before we next kick a ball, is that team good enough/is there enough character to claw back 9 points bearing in mind we have to make the trip to Edinburgh 4 times?

    Debateable.

I would take nothing for granted. Not even second place. Hard working teams give us problems.
  4. I see the idiots on Facebook are now puting a 45 symbol beside there name, Well stupid me I always thought 55% trumped 45% everyday of the week. They also got skelped in just about every region of Scotland. AND they don't have the intelligence to realise that the last 45 rebellion failed miserably. And that was nothing but an attempt to put a Catholic King back on the throne of the United Kingdom. It is going to take a long time to heal the rift in Scotland and I worry that our unionist ideals are going to be under further attack, because make no mistake Rangers are seen as the standard bearers for the union. Still proud to be Scots and British and being British does not make me English any more than being Scots makes me a Glaswegian (I am from Stirling).

putting a 69 next to my name
  5. Which is one of the many reasons we should never have signed him. Other reasons: he is fat, lazy, can't head the ball, Can't control the ball, has a poor attitude, was always outclassed when playing against even half-decent defenders, was shown up for the mediocre player he is when he moved down south, etc etc etc. When he was here before at least he scored against the wee teams, but he can't even do that anymore. Waste of a wage.

I said at the time, signing boyd would be the final nail in ally managerial coffin. Cannot believe he brought him back.
  6. We need a team of players who can perform their role well, not a team of players with no decipherable position or role in the team who can "give it a go" in a number of different areas.

we are not talking about a "goal production line" where everyone has a narrowly defined role. We are talking about a competitive team sport where opposition try to suss ur weakness and score against u and prevent u from scoring. The more restrictions ur striker has, the easier the latter is. Do u expect a striker to help defend when under pressure, hammer up the field when the ball breaks and score? I do. Dont think boydy would tho.
  7. People thinking Andy Little is the answer :anguish:

he was not THE answer. He was one mobile component that put in a workrate and gave us more options than boyd. A team player who pulled his weight. His flexibility would give us chance creatiin options that boyd will not unless he changes big style. Exactly what we need a team of. Instead other players will likely pick and choose their game style and who can blame them now.
  8. We are trying to build a team with no money to spend on transfers . We don't have a proper scouting network as far as I'm aware . We are playing in the second tier of Scottish football . If there are any better goal scorers out there available and willing to play in our league who are they ?

in what way does buying a player with known deficiencies in his game make up for lack of a scouting network? The second tier is a lot harder than u think as well. There is more of a work ethic in the opposition. We have no money so any spend has to be targetted on team players who contribute and dont set preconditions on their participation. What if a defender decided only to make clearances when the ball was at his feet?? To think we let little go.
  9. Don't use any except here, got banned from follow follow for saying the red and black rangers top they were releasing was a joke, seems you get banned for speaking your mind from there.

certainly do. I got banned for being to strong and defending my view with a poster most felt was a declan. No swearies, insults etc. Just standing my ground at the "season of goodwill"
  10. Kris Boyd will always guarantee goals. I can't not see him hitting 20+ this season but he needs the service and unfortunately we lack a consistent, quality creative midfielder.

You know what you get with Boyd. Give him the service and he will get you goals. He won't get the ball 30 yards from goal, beat three men and smash one in the top corner.

how many goals did he guarantee on sunday??

Just what level of service will our midfield need to give him? Given he wont beat men and smash into top corner, dont you think it makes him easy to.defend against?? Esp with a packed defence.

  11. are the taigs or europe relevant this year?

Did he have an exceptional midfield last year when he ended up one of the top scorers in Scotland again?

yes they are relevant. What if we meet them in a cup. We are trying to build a team to challenge next season as well as get us promoted. We have a league of hard working opponents to get passed. Some of these will not be far off the sort of teams boyd struggled against. Is that so difficult to admit?
  12. You have applied remarkable clarity to the Boyd conundrum. I wish I could have put it so concisely! Nobody seems to realise that what they are saying is every one else should work harder to make his job easier!

Sir, I take my hat off to you!

thanks bud. Is one of the home truths that we need to face up to. We jave just made our misfiring midfields job a lot harder by signing boyd. Ally either cannot see that or is playing to some fans lack of objectivity.
  13. Sorry you feel that way, I personally find £800,000 a year paid for by our support to manage our team poorly for years - distasteful.

I don't wish our club to suffer any more than it has to and I fear that in the coming weeks we will play poorly, drop points and scenes in and outside of ibrox get progressively more ugly.

We all know Ally isn't up to it,......do we wait till the damage is beyond repair?

Petition/letter is the best of the methods open to us as a support to tell the board like it is.

this sums it up for me. It is no surprise we are where we are. Knew this would happen and said so in an argument over ally with a relative in early 2013. This blind loyalty over past achievements has to stop. U are only as good as ur last shot. He has to go and now.
