    Sterling/thread

The thread ain’t about sterling the question is do we look to replace tav now or let him finish here

sterling mentioned because he would be natural replacement but doing well at midfield so do we then replace RB or stick with tav

I think we would really miss his goals/assists but better recruitment up front would solve that plus we get younger, hungrier arguably RB

I think Tav will finish his career here unless it’s really silly money that comes in. Whoever replaces him is going to be a step down.

Would bite your hand off to get Patterson back, but that isn’t going to happen.

Not ever really been convinced by the limited time Sterling has had at RB that he’s the answer there, but in PC I trust.

Patterson is what 3rd/4th choice at Everton you not think there’s a chance to get him up the road?

  3. Having looked at tavs topic and talking going to the Saudi league

I like tav as our right back, I know fans debate on better attacking or not great defensively but with rumours of Saudi bids if they come in serious with a multi million pound offer would it be worth taking due to the stage of his career he is at and see if we can get someone like Patterson back from Everton with sterling in the team as well? Any extra cash could go to more players? I love sterling but he has become so good at so many positions it might be better bringing in a young right back and keeping sterling as midfielder? Or keep tav until he finishes his career?

tav might not want to go but curious what you guys think at this stage of his career and the new players we need in?

Thought Tav and Lundstram looked out on their feet last night with about 20 minutes to go, similar to Motherwell. I know it’s a big call but I’d like to see them rested on Sunday. Sterling can play right back and either Jack or Raskin can replace Lundstram. Goldson needs a bit of time off as well but it’s fuck all to do with fitness.

Thought lunny especially with about 20 to go just looked dead on his feet I agree I think a rest is needed to keep freshness in bigger games coming

  5. Starting to feel the excitement build up now, mates are coming to mine about 3, get the build up on from America, got the poker table out, few wee rounds of virtual golf, beers in the fridge and all ready for kick off at 11:30

agreeing with Williamson, the whole swift thing does my tits in and for that reason as well as my team no being there I guess I will support one for a night, I hope the niners fuckin ruin the chiefs 😁

No idea mate, I hate the sight of the Chiefs

Delighted to be there, but can’t ever underestimate Mahomes in the big games. Thought we had the better of them a few years back and he ruined my happiness right at the end

I thought more people would have been behind the Niners now since there hasn’t been a Super Bowl win since the mid 90s and the Chiefs have won a couple in recent years, but nope, everyone just hates seeing both the 49ers and Chiefs in it apparently

I think it’ll be a great game personally

Yeah I don’t hate the chiefs but for me, they becoming the new patriots! I get sick of seeing them there or there abouts each year now 😂 mahomes is class though and they will be tough to beat! however, I’m just watching the niners highlights after work and mccaffrey, purdy, aiyuk bosa kittle etc are top top players for one match I’ll be hoping you guys ain’t talking about the mid 90’s anymore, this team have a great chance of beating the chiefs

slow start against the lions who dominated the first half but niners turned the screw second half and took the game aiyuk catching off the helmet summed it up 😂

Everyone seems so happy about the teams playing in the Super Bowl this year…

I’m working all weekend then today again so I wasn’t able to sit up and watch both games I’ll watch highlights later when I’m home

congrats on your team making it mate!
you think this will be their year?
every year my mates come to mine for Super Bowl so I’ll cheer you guys on!

I hope so. I think we will get past the Lions but I’ve no idea how the Super Bowl will go. I don’t think the Chiefs and Mahomes can be written off, they’ve an irritating ability to step up around this time of year

I think it’ll be a Niners and Chiefs Super Bowl, beyond that I’ve no idea

It will be a tough game mate to be fair the lions have been quite consistent throughout but niners team is impressive

I have a feeling the ravens with Jackson playing so well might edge out chiefs but then I thought the bills would go through so that tells you I know fuck all 🫣

both should be great games if purdy, who has been great this year, can keep his nerve then you guys should be in the final 👍🏻

Underdog win? 49ers haven’t won a Super Bowl since ‘95. Fuck the lions and their wee underdog bandwagon

lol the lions have never won it never mind 95, to be fair I don’t care who out the two but the lions are underdogs in every way, niners are favourites with bookies and most pundits they have better players etc

you think the niners will go all the way this time?

Trying to get ma head around it seem to enjoy it like the lions

It would be some shock if the lions made the final

off the top of my head I’m sure they are one of the few teams that have never won it

niners will be too strong for them I think but secretly hoping for an underdog win

I agree with ayro above I think ravens will win based on the season Jackson is having, he looks unstoppable just now!

  11. @ayro
Just came on to tag you in this above mate to see what you think, my reaction was surprise, unless there is a huge change in his coaching style it feels like a rinse and repeat season coming up for you guys

they are basically saying the coach is decent and has had good results last few year so we giving it a shot to see if he can maybe do it next year and hopefully go a bit further rather than taking action to move the team forward with fresh ideas 🫣

  12. Off season will be interesting for both our teams mate

I was going to say next year might be your year if you guys get the draft right but that’s kinda the long running joke with the cowboys eh!

😂 won one lost one sums up being a Cowboys fan

What’s the solution then bud, dak has been there a while now and for the last few year they have hit what 12-5 regular season or there abouts but then fail when it really matters? Isn’t time to change QB something fresh in a trade?

Will be interesting to see if they change coach, think Dallas definitely will but unsure on Philly.

Yeah I think they will and owners ain’t shy on doing it!! big Doug got binned was it a year or 2 after winning the superbowl so to go out in play offs especially with losing 5 from 6, sirianni must be looking over his shoulder

I know the Eagles were on a poor run but thought they would beat the Bucs, NFC East choking big style.

They lost 5 out of 6 and the game they won at Xmas they were lucky as well eagles just fell apart after week 12 😩
