Underwhelmed by the team selection, but it's Dundee at home, we should be fine -

It's no big deal. You have a couple of hours where you shit rusty water and retch and retch and retch. Then you bring up the yellow bile, and it's time to hit the bevy again

Second is probably as much as we should expect. However they've already dropped 2 points and I can see them dropping more. They results against the Edinburgh sides were dissapointing but not terminal. If we can get maximum points from games against the 10 other teams and they have a wobble then anythings possible. But obviously second is probable. -

Not sure of it's looking good, but it's certainly looking better -
How old are you? 98 ?

Under the current regime we will NEVER challenge Celtic, let alone win the title. 10 in a row is the latest in a list of bogey men to scare us into not rocking the boat. Getting rid of Pedro now might help them to 10, but keeping him isn't going to stop them. So I see no reason to keep Pedro

Pedro just isn't good enough. It might not be his fault, but he's the man that has to put it right. But he's not the man, is he ? -

Still got an uneasy feeling about this one. I know last week was mainly down to the ref, but we've also got some weaknesses that could be exposed again. Hopefully feel a bit more confident as kick off aproaches -

Kind of "must win" situation again. However obviously every game should be viewed as must win, but then again what's the options if we don't win? -

I didn't go overboard at the midweek score and I won't go overboard about yesterday. I don't think Pedro is up to the job, but now isn't the time to be calling for his head. He's only had his own players for a few weeks and they will improve. However it's obvious that we need even more new blood. Pedro is getting plaudits for sticking with 2 up front and that's probably the Rangers way. But a draw would have felt like a win after being down to 10 so early in the game. So perhaps it would have been better to sacrafice Miller for a midfielder. Let's see what the next games bring and perhaps more importantly what the next two weeks of transfer window brings -

Much as I enjoyed the midweek result I didn't want to get too carried away. However I think this will be a good indicator of how our season will go. A few pundits are tipping Hibs to be in the top 4, so giving them a spanking will be a good indicator of things to come. -
Realistic Expectation Next Season
Grin'nBEARit replied to Brian Fantana 's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Went for 2nd but I'm not sure there is a "realistic expectation". 1st is the dream but not realistic, and 2nd should be a certainty not an expectation. -
This deserves recognition

No "system" today. But I fancy a couple of 33-1 shots. Dragon Mall 3.05 Brando 4.35. 50p ew 2 singles and a double could return over £600. And if they turn out to be donkeys it's only £3 down the drain. An acceptable risk in my opinion
-
Obviously not a good one as it took an 18-1 shot to get me out of the shit Might give it another go tomorrow.
-
Every so often I come up with a new "System" for picking horses. Obviously they seldom work long term. I always think the next one is the one that's going to get me a fortune and as I'm feeling confident about my latest so called "system" I thought I'd post the horses on here. All each way 3.45 Bint Dandy 4.20 Love me Again 5.25 Comanche 2.45 Lexington Place 3.35 Hard Toffee 5.50 Bernardo O'Reilly None really fancied to win, but hopefull for a few places

Our only hope is for Pedro to accept that players win matches, not managers. He needs to scrap his preconceived ideas about how the game should be played and just let the players play to their strengths. Scrap plan A plan B plan C etc. Just get to know what the players are capable of, THEN make a plan. But stop trying to shoehorn players into a system that either doesn't work or isn't going to work with the current squad.

To me it would make sense to boycott all away games EXCEPT celtic. As has been said we won't hurt them financialy and those are the games where the away support will be needed most. They're possibly also the games that our fans would least want to boycott. So treat it like a diet, stay off the away games but have a naughty snack now and again.

I said in the match thread that part of me thought he'd have been better coming on for the last half hour and playing against tired legs. Just one of the things Pedro got wrong tonight
