  1. Gers fans have taken to social media to show their admiration for a mysteriousCeltic supporter who left a touching tribute to the 66 Rangers fans who died in the Ibrox stadium disaster. The fellow, who was dressed head-to-toe in Hoops attire, left a wreath at the Ibrox memorial on Saturday, shortly before the Old Firm game, reports the Daily Record. Pictures of the celtic fan talking to a security guard soon went viral with rival supporters quick to show their admiration. The tragedy occurred at an Old Firm match held at Ibrox in January 1971. While fans were exiting a staircase a terrifying crush engulfed them - leaving 66 dead and 140 injured. Wearing a full celtic green and white striped kilt and glengarry hat, the unidentified man is pictured chatting to a steward outside Ibrox's Broomloan Road Stand entrance. The second picture shows a bouquet of red and yellow flowers tied to the Ibrox stadium disaster memorial. The cast bronze sculpture of then-team captain John Greig looms above the tribute and bricks with the victim's names under a small plaque can be seen too. Twitter user GordonL2 posted the pictures with the caption: "We've all seen this guy before dressed in his gear, but I thought it was really considerate of him putting flowers down at our memorial." Stuart MacQuarrie said: "He's a decent guy who turns up for the commemoration on the 2nd of January rivalsnotenemies." Craig Paterson added: "Quality fellow. Regardless of the team you support good to see respect." Snookerloopy commented: "For him to take time out to do that is class, not many would even consider it." Rab Clark said: "Good to see a bit of respect shown. Fair play to the guy." To which GordonL2 replied: "The fact that he doesn't trumpet the fact he does it is all to his credit." While user Wee Yin said simply: "Wonderful gesture. Class act." Other social media users suggested that the man has laid flowers before, and makes a habit of it when an Old Firm Derby is scheduled at Ibrox. Twitter user Cuickie said: "He does it every time he's at Ibrox." Darryn Causby added: "He does it every game, he's a veteran too, good guy. ǝpɐbıɹq uǝǝɹb ǝɥʇ give him some abuse." Some social media users pointed out that at one point the celtic scarf holding the flowers to the memorial was pulled off. David Graham said: "Not sure if the flowers were still there but when I passed at 11.00 someone had pulled the scarf off and it was lying on the ground. Shame." GordonL2 replied: "That's disappointing to hear, but it won't take away from the original gensture...but as you say it is a shame." David Graham added: "Exactly. The scarf was just being stepped over but fair play to him for doing it, says more about the idiot who pulled it off." Tayla commented: "I've seen some post hating the scarf as its green. Fair enough it is a celtic scarf but this is really nice of him." At least 75,000 fans attended the match on January 2nd 1971. Many Rangers fans decided to leave early and it appears that a fan's fall on Stairway 13 contributed to the deadly crush that followed. A total of 31 teenagers died while the youngest victim was nine-year-old Nigel Pickup, attending his first football match Shit dress sense but fair play if he does it every game.
  2. Moyes has done nothing in his last 3 jobs. Woeful and an ex tarrier.
  3. Be proud to be a bear. Paedophiles can never scrub themselves clean of that tag.
  4. I would happily give them the corner and sacrifice our allocation at the BJK camp
  5. I like Cardoso. I think he is getting stick for us losing goals to the taigs and thistle when he was playing in a make shift defence. We slate Tavs defending and Wallace too so he can't keep every cross out himself. He is good on the ball and will be a good player for us. Only 24 and is highly rated.
  6. I thought Candeias was quick as fuck but yesterday he got shown up whenever he tried to run on with the ball.
  7. We had our captain in the changing room. That should have been enough.
  8. This. I heard there are several security and maintenance people within the club who are tims but work there.
  9. This board although not popular is much better than the previous ones under Green/MA whoever else. They have also done us a favour by getting the 7 year SD ripped up. We will have a new shirt deal from the summer of 2018. They have given Pedro some money. MA has also taken his ties out of the club.
  10. This thread sums up everything that is wrong with our social media support.
  11. We need a few changes to improve things with our club but what is working? King and the board: Dave and Mini need to come out and explain what the plan is and invest. Share issue? Manager: Keep Pedro in my opinion if investment continues. I like how he gives youth players a chance and is passionate about our club. But would you change? If so, who do we realistically bring in? Does he need someone other than JJ as a coach with Rangers experience? Players: What do we need to improve our quality? For me it's new full backs, left winger, right winger, playmaker and a support striker for Morelos Fans: Does our mindset need to change? Not sure if its the new generation who haven't experienced pre Walters 2nd stint with full memory. I think some fans are happy to accept mediocre performances and the standards have dropped. Might be a social media thing where everything is scrutinised. The bears 2007 and before that I feel have no nonsense standards we must win and anything less is not acceptable. They seem to moan about every little detail. Just get back to basics. We win we are happy. What else would you change within our club?
  12. I'll add....they probably feel defeated before running onto the pitch. Similar to what PSG did. Can't be allowed to happen at Ibrox to anyone.
  13. Souness woukdnt tolerate that shite or Walter. I like Pedro's passion but the players need to man up and stop standing in awe of the beasts.
  14. The way we played didn't look out of place compared to them playing any other team which is sad. We tried to contain them (at Ibrox which is sickening) and tried to the counter attack. Had a chance of a pen and 1 or 2 chances. When they scored you knew the game was fading away. It's not how we should be playing but it's where we are. King and the board need to do something special.
  15. There is a difference between one goalkeeping error and yesterday about 6 balls out of play or kicking to a scum player.
  16. Just reading the posts, and especially the thread with our players hugging taigs and it is sickening. They don't care. Letting them waltz about our park and our board do fuck all except trying to build bridges. Even the recent Doncaster embarrassment had led to us being quiet with not a statement issued. On the park we need people who are in the mould of hating those bastards during the game. Yeah there might be friendships off the field but we need winners who have pride in defending our ground and fans from the terrorists. It might not go down well with some but i would rather have some of our squad from a few years ago come back and install some mentality on what it means to be a Ranger versus the scum. Even get John Greig in the day before a game and give them a speech. Currently, I would take in McGregor, Davis, Naismith, Lafferty, Weiss. Even Broadfoot hated the taigs. You can argue all day who's past it and who is shite but they always were up for these games. We have Dorrans but he needs support. Morelos showed more fight than the other 10 put together. You think McGregor would be phased by the tarriers chants? Fod yesterday was embarrassing. Broadfoot over Hodson any day for skill and passion. You wouldn't catch any of these guys cuddling away or laughing with the bastards. We need more people who know what it means. I believe Pedro does and it showed yesterday v the Lego muncher but the players were showing too much respect.
  17. I am sure all bears would be happy to support something if it meant we all moved positively. Our fans are amazing and no other club would still have the support we get after all that has happened.
  18. He is the player rumoured to have a gambling problem blowing thousands on the bandits and casinos. Aside from that....Great inspiration for kids wanting to behave in the world growing up to be a footballer.... No wonder we don't support Scotland. How can any bear cheer on those cunts.
  19. Dreamland mate. We said this last season. Facts are they will be lucky to lose more than 1 game this season. They are too strong in every department. Only Morelos would get near that team and probably the bench. Come January we will be close to 16-20 points below if we can't win 3 games in a row. We have St J, Sheep Hibs Hearts all away to come before the scum at new year. We won't finish 2nd and I have said that since the hearts draw. 3rd at best. Painful but it's where things are. We can beat anyone in a one off game but league form we are woeful
  20. Even if we had scored then I still believe we would have conceded a few. They almost scored a few in the first 5 minutes. 2-0 going on 6. We should have scored with Morelos header but didn't create much else.
