Beale spending around 8.5 million on Lammers and Dessers is unforgivable. Both their old clubs must have been pissing themselves at how stupid we were. -
This is horrible news, horrible. RIP Ben.

And then moaning that we were 'missing a Ryan kent type player' when he had about year to address that and plenty budget. Best forgotten about, getting heart palpitations just thinking about it. -
Would suggest his next stage of career progression should be attempting to sustain a good performance for 90 minutes.

Our assistant manager can't remember the result of our Champions League qualifier last month. An absolute fucking embarrassment.

Been saying it for years now but our transfers are so opportunistic rather than well thought out. Theres no apparent profile of player attributes, system in mind, style of football. Its as if Beale has thought, "I'll sign a bunch of attacking players I've liked in the past and they will work it out and come together". Signing Dessers, Lammers, Danilo and Sima and then complaining we didnt have a Ryan Kent type player a few games into the season summed it up for me. Just hoping it would work rather than signing players to complement a fixed system. We had joy end of last season with Cantwell high and central with runners ahead of him like Sakala. We completely abandoned that to play him deeper, and bring in two slow forwards in Lammer and Dessers, and spend 6 million on Danilo to then drop him or rotate him with Roofe etc. Cannot for the life of me work out what he was thinking.

Looking at last season and this season in context is important as well as the stats. We went on a decent run of results in the league last year after the league being effectively over so early and brought in the likes of Cantwell, so think most of us were encouraged, but it was all about building for this season (supposedly). Now we're into this domestic season, with pressure on, and having been backed financially to bring in all his own players, and we've lost 2 out of 6 already. One at home to them, when they had no away support, were low on confidence and there for the taking. New signings mostly haven't clicked, there's no idea of system or style of play or shoots of progression week to week, and and truth be told, if we had dropped more points yesterday we couldn't complain.
-
We can talk about injuries but yesterday we had 7/8 million pounds worth of attacking talent available/starting, and between the two of them they showed nothing against Motherwell. Danilo is injured, but he was dropped for the two biggest games of the season, what exactly was Beales plan/strongest 11 in mind? The rebuild has been an utter shambles. We have square pegs in round holes, we have overpiad for players who are showing to be as bad as their previous poor records suggested. Butland aside, and Danilo in flashes, it seems like better players have left the building than have been brought in, which is a shocking reflection on our recruitment. We talked about improving in both boxes and now we are relying on Roofe and Ben Davies to improve us in those areas. And Matondo to create, all players that were already here. Theres always a risk with transfers, but its astonishing how much of an arse of the rebuild he appears to have made.

Delighted with the win, but looking at how much more effective we are with pacey wingers, and a more solid left sided central defender really frustrated with how Beale has spent the money in the summer. -
Hard listen, came across more defensive of himself than the team/unit. Rolling out stats, talking about 'fine margins' in a game that shouldn't have come down to fine margins, when the bigger issue was the game plan and performance. When asked about whether tomorrow is a must win, talked about 'they must win' in context of his players. Rather than talk about 'its time they settled' maybe its time you settled on a team, system and way of playing, with the players you brought in Michael? He's not a leader, and get the impression he is just hoping things click. This has an air of inevitability about it.

For years now we've made it look like its the hardest thing in the world to break down Scottish teams at Ibrox, and have to huff and puff with crosses and hoping for mistakes to fashion a chance. If we'd invested in two wide pacey attackers for around 5 million each and either side of a good new forward, and cantwell in behind in the centre we'd probably be blowing teams away (not that our recruitment team gives me confidence tho we'd identify the right players). Instead we've bought 4 random strikers that don't look like they belong in the same starting lineup. Mental. -
Someone who has a fixed idea of how they want their team to play and looks to buy players that fit that style of play would be a good fucking starting point. A tall ask, I know.

id happily support this

Has a bizarre mix of overestimating his own ability when things go well and looking completely clueless and out his depth when things start to go wrong. Remember when he got interviewed and he said 'theres no way we would have lost the league if we had stayed' while Gio was in charge?. I think he believed 'the 55 season' (getting tired of writing that) was all down to his tactical genius and he doesnt have the savvy to realise that a number of stars aligned that season, including our main opponents imploding. Unless we act now we are going to watch some really painful interviews with him as he continues to realise he is nowhere near as good as he thought he was.
