  1. Its still early days, but.... Looks a perfect example of the profile that works for our club. Big talent but coupled with desire to take responsibility, work hard, and a bit of an edge and seige mentality to get everyone else to fuck. We used to be full of these types, and need more. has all the attributes to be the best player in this country, and they know it. I'm loving him.
  2. I wouldnt be that surprised to see him if he starts tbh. I suspect Beale will give him a last Old firm to make an impact. Not saying I agree with it, but listening to the press conference, and looking at who we have available, I think he might actually start.
  3. 40 quid out yesterday. Buzzing for a new scarf and access to one Livingston away ticket.
  4. Hard to pick any sort of team in last third. McCrorie, Tav, Soutter, Goldson, Ridvan, Lundstrum, Raskin, Cantwell, Arfield, Sakala, Morelos Only playing Morelos as we need someone to lead the line and have no other options. Lets hope he gives us something back for his last Old Firm. Options in last third that bad I'd probably go with Arfield inside/wide right and Sakala on left (where he seems to be less shite at times).
  5. Chronic as ever in final third. Cantwell best player, McCrorie showing again he should have had more minutes this season, Ridvan and Lundstram decent, Scott Wright bright enough when he came on. Hagi made some good runs to find space but our passing was so slow and no-one spotted him free. Hard to fathom that we spent 7 million pounds on Matondo and Ben Davies.
  6. I like this. Good story, good for the brand, and good exposure. Will book myself in for this
  7. Could be doing with more penetration in that area. He's shown he can finish but can he keep it up consistently?
  8. Another example of how all over the shop our transfer strategy was under Wilson. You'd expect a similar style/profile of left back in the squad to match a style of play, but they look quite different. Same with Bassey and Davies, who are hugely different despite being left sided centre halves. Just opportunistic signings for whatever we could get in each position, and hope they fit.
  9. Those players and management deserve a night to celebrate and remember a great season. Not their fault we've made a complete cunt of things since then.
  10. We can't rely on Roofe. Nothing against him personally, and clearly a talent. We need to build a team under the assumption he isnt available, and anything else a bonus.
  11. Can we afford to spend approx 5 Million of whatver budget we have on an attacking midfielder, when we have Cantwell, Lawrence (to come bacl) and Lowry (with potential but who knows?) I know he scores, but still needs to develop and prove in big games, and we need more in front 3 and proven clinical players. I like him btw, but its about priority and positions and what we have available.
  12. talented young player who cld go on to be very good, but where we are at and given our resources, it makes no sense to spend such a large volume of our transfer kitty on him. If we were in a different spot with our squad you cld view him as a sound investment. But where we are on the squad, and our financials, its a risk we cant really take. Its a shame as I think he has potential, but we have bigger problems to solve with the money we have available.
  13. I get that mate, just making the point as things stand I think changing the front 3 if we get quality makes the biggest difference. I know we have a lot of other weaknesses, but if I had to prioritise spending, thats where I think it should largely go.
  14. Suspect in time Alfredo will look back on his peak time at us as the peak of his career. Silly boy, wasted what could have been so much more. Same with Kent, Dortmund will be the highlight of his career. Both had ability, but thats nothing without the mental strength and desire and application to do it consistently. We used to have players with that in abundance when I was growing up.
  15. Both were pish for different reasons. Sakala at least managed to get himself into a position where he could make a rip roaring cunt of it. Whereas Kent made a rip roaring cunt of it by being anonymous.
  16. Has to be the absolute priority in the summer for me. I know we have a load of other changes needed, but this is the most important area. Especially against them. We could have played until now and still not scored. Severe lack of quality, killer instinct and composure. And Beale needs to take responsibility for allowing Morelos to float around when we need a proper striker in and around the area wanting goals. Fuck overcomplicating things, get a proper striker and play to their strengths. We finished that game with what, Sakala, Matondo and Hagi as a front 3?? Honkin. Watching these games it honestly feels like the likes of Tav or Arfield are our main goal threats, still. We dont have an endless amount of money, and as much as we need to stop shiting the bed at the back, we really need to get people in that can hurt teams as goals breed confidence around the team and we huff and puff like fuck, before our inevitable concnetration lapse at the back.
  17. Suspect it will be Tav POY and Tillman YPOY. Shld be Tillman for both. Which would send a message at least that a kid at 20 from another country is the only one that can hold his head up. But we don't do hard truths so would expect the above. Fuck knows on the John Greig Award, be as well giving it to a long running member of staff at the club, rather than one of the players this year.
  18. Some laugh spending millions of our transfer budget on a new left back and still going into this game yet again with that position being targeted.
  19. Sums up our club 'leadership' culture "not as broken as people think" "ross is doing a brilliant job" Rather than face up and own failure and make big decisions to shake things up, we drink our own kool aid and protect/promote those already in power. As if we are in denial at times. This was an opportunity to shake things up, and for one of the most important roles at the club we have turned to someone who has already proven himself to have questionable judgement in the context of a football club, and whilst he might have good background sponsorship/commercial chops, its hard to believe its a 'best in class appointment' for CEO of a club our size.
  20. I do worry we overcomplicate things in the final third at times. Too much players rotating positions, playing intrictae passes outside the box, no-one running beyond or playing on the shoulder of defenders, or midfielders taking a shot and arriving into the box.
