Blue Stars Bearette 1
major blow for Everton all the best Mikel get well quick...lot of bad luck for Everton..... BBC Everton boss David Moyes has already lost Yakubu for the season to a ruptured Achilles, while James Vaughan has had surgery on a knee injury and Nuno Valente has been out with a similar problem since August. Louis Saha has been plagued by hamstring trouble which has restricted him to 14 matches this season, while midfielder Marouane Fellaini is playing with a cracked bone in his back. A draw's not a bad result but we're disappointed not to take all three and bitterly disappointed because of the injury to Mikel Everton manager David Moyes Midfielders Steven Pienaar (hamstring) and Leon Osman (stomach strain) have both missed recent games, while Anichebe was injured by a horror tackle from Kevin Nolan against Newcastle. Everton have managed to maintain sixth place in the Premier League in spite of the injury problems but their hopes of catching fifth-place Arsenal have been dented by the loss of Arteta. bluenose_72 198
This is a serious blow to their hopes of finishing in the top 6!

ClintonGrey 365
Him and that guy with the afro have been their only playmakers the whole season, they rely on them so much. Would not be surprised if they are pipped to the UEFA by Fulham now.

Wreckedroy 33
That'll be Evertons' season fucked then.
ShootSpeedKillLight 0
I dunno if they're fucked yet, Cahill and Fellaini coming back into the team will help them no end. It's a blow though, no question.
ClintonGrey 365
To be fair itll mostly be down on Fellaini and if thats the case Fulham will probably pip Everton to a UEFA cup spot.
ManchestGer 351
It was unfortunate incident, I like watching Arteta play as well
dyzeus 1
Wouldn't go as far as saying their season is fucked because of one injury, sure its a massive blow but they still have quality in Cahill and Fellaini. They have a few youngsters coming through aswell like Rodwell and Gosling although there no like for like replacement for Arteta. Remember their season was fucked when they didn't have any strikers - that turned out ok. All the best to Mikel
EastEnclosureBear 3,022
I think that Mikel Arteta will come back next season after his injury, an even better player than he is just now. We are in the same suitation with Kevin Thomson, he will come back a better player than he was. All the best Mikel Arteta. WATP
