RANGERS' players were in good spirits as they met at Glasgow Airport today ahead of their pre-season trip to Germany.

The Light Blues are flying to Munster this morning and will be based in the village of Marienfeld near Bielefeld for the next six nights.

Whilst there, they'll play semi-professional sides Sportfreunde Lotte and SC Reida Wiedenbruck, with a trip to Bundesliga outfit FC Nuremburg sandwiched in between.

As the official club website revealed last night, Charlie Adam is travelling despite interest in him from Blackpool.

DaMarcus Beasley is also back in the squad after an extended summer break, following his involvement in the USA's Confederations Cup campaign.

Joining the American in the 25-man pool is forgotten man Alan Gow, who might well make his first Gers appearance in 18 months whilst in Germany.

Youngsters Andrew Little, Andrew Shinnie and Grant Adam will be there, along with new Rangers number 29 John Fleck.

Once the Ibrox men arrive in North Rhine-Westphalia at lunchtime, they'll head straight to the state-of-the-art sports hotel that will be their home for the next few days.

With training facilities on site, they'll have their first session this afternoon and play for the first time tomorrow night.

SQUAD: McGregor, Alexander, Weir, Papac, Whittaker, Bougherra, Smith, Mendes, McCulloch, Davis, Thomson, C. Adam, Gow, Beasley, Boyd, Novo, Naismith, Velicka, Miller, Aaron, Lafferty, Fleck, Little, Shinnie, G. Adam.
