Walter Smith is to give Danny Wilson his debut in defence at 17 years old. The left footed player was a stand out in the Under 19's and is one to watch as he is a great talent.

The Rangers youth skipper 'Wilson' reckons guidance from Ibrox veteran Davie Weir has been as valuable to his career as studying footage of Italian superstar Paolo Maldini.

If he is as good as either in their Prime - he will be a great assett to have - Good luck Danny.

Great to see the youths getting a start ! :uk:

Possibility of Fleck, McMillan, Wylde and Fleck all playing. A pity Andrew Shinnie is injured as he'd probably be getting a game aswell - impressed last season on loan at Dens.

A midfield duo of Fleck and Fleck will do some serious damage. ;)

Nah, it would be like playing with a man down!

True, they are far too similar. (tu)

Young Danny has great skills and his left foot is quality - OK he is 17 but so was Rooney when he got his debut !

I am sure you will agree this is a big decision for Walter but it is against Dundee ( no disrespect) but we should take them to the cleaners.....Wilson was captain of the U19's and has had rave reviews and I think he will prove that youth sometimes is the answer - he is quick and quick on the turn...Dave Weir knows his positioning well but is so slow it is unreal.

We need some stability....Bougherra & Edu/ Kirk/ Weir/ McCulloch/ Wilson/ Webster/ Papac - that is the situation if we don't buy in January - maybe even worse if Boogie leaves - we must try and get Andy Webster back - does anyone know what the craic is with him - can we get him back in this window ?

Either way - the club is up in arms, no one has a clue what is happening and that must be unsettling for the players and management team !

Is Ness injured? I thought he might have featured seeing as we are so short on centre mids. It's a shame for Shinnie that he is out right now as he would have a very good chance of featuring.
