Smile 23,595
They were bought for 2.7 million, combined. That's true but when you also factor in wages 5Million doesn't seem a lot.
DBBTB 28,649
Sometimes a team needs a serious facelift. Us in 1998, Celtic in 2005, Aberdeen since the early nineties.£5m a year is OK for cautious improvement but not for a new-look team.We don't need a new look team.We already have a solid core in McGregor, Bougherra, McCulloch, Davis, Naismith & Jelavic. DBBTB 28,649
It's enough if you are content for The Rangers to be bit part players in Europe. So it's not enough - no where near it.We are never going to see the kind of financial input that is required to be major players in Europe, especially as the league we play in restricts the calibre of player that we can attract.Everybody wants what is best for Rangers, but we need to be realistic about it. johnarsu 17
I thought it was an extra £5m on top of what would be generated by the club itself for transfer fees?

Goianegra 3,153
I don't WANT a new look team. Our chemistry is great, don't want to ruin it.
MosesMcNeil 1,664
We are never going to see the kind of financial input that is required to be major players in Europe, especially as the league we play in restricts the calibre of player that we can attract.Everybody wants what is best for Rangers, but we need to be realistic about it.We are one of the biggest clubs on the planet. The vast support in Manchester and countless thousands glued to TV screens across the globe prove it. The mind boggles at the finances we could generate and attract if freed from our circumstances. The (current) reality is that we are stuck in a league that can never serve the ambitions we have. Not should have - but do have! The best for The Rangers is to gtf out of this football graveyard and start realising our ambitions. The sooner the better.
