Whittaker is the only player to unexpectedly reject a contract, and he was offered a generous wage on a good contract. How is this Whyte's fault?

If Whyte hadn't come in, we wouldnae even be looking at targets. We'd be counting the small sums of money we pulled in for Greegsy, Bouggy and Davis.

For that I am grateful, and I'll give the guy time, even if he is a wee bit out of his depth.
