sdunsmb 43
Wonder why the EPL has the highest UEFA ranking?? Must be some kind of mistake
bluenose_72 198
Interesting that Seria A is now behind Bundesliga!Bundesliga will have 4 CL places next season.
bluenose_72 198
Also, looking at attendances, where would the SPL be without the Old Firm?
andy500 463
Also, looking at attendances, where would the SPL be without the Old Firm?Doing a fairly basic and not 100% accurate calculation, if you multiply the average attendance (13,669) by 12 (164,028) and then minus both the Old Firm's average attendances (I rounded it to roughly 100,000 between us) that gives you 64,028 which divided by ten (the amount of other clubs) is roughly 6,403. Less than half the average attendance with the Old Firm.
sdunsmb 43
Also ridiculous that the Championship has the fourth highest attendances in Europe, above Seria A and Ligue 1!
smj 0
Bundesliga will have 4 CL places next season.Already this season.
bluenose_72 198
Already this season.Sorry, I meant they will have 4 places in the competition for next season, which teams are obviously competing for this season.
sdunsmb 43
That's only because they have more teams in the league, the average attendances are behind both and the Eredivisie. Less than 4K higher than the SPL, says it all.Still impressive for a second tier! Their average is more than double Spains and more than triple Italys! League one attendance are pretty big too. THFC6061 4
63.3% foreign players in the EPL and they wonder why England regularly flop internationally?Still believe the champions should be getting more points than all other teams, United got more points than Barcelona last season. Here at Spurs, we're doing our best to give English talent a chance. So far this season, half of all the players who have participated in first team matches have been English......although they've only accounted for around 43% of the total appearances. THFC6061 4
@ THFC6061 - That's good to see, more clubs should be trying to bring through English based players in England, especially the top clubs. Our last UEFA Europa League match away in Greece featured 10 of the 18 players who participated who had graduated or are still playing with our Academy.
