Columbo 588
Shrewd signings. Demba Ba is getting a lot of praise but Yakubu as well has been brilliant.
broxibear87 129
It's going to cost a hell of a lot of money to sign Ba from Newcastle. He's only 26 as well. Arsenal are crying out for a player like him.

Jimfanciesthedude 25,688
He did cost £7Million to be fair.yup, his performances at west ham would have made him an easy 10mill player minimum if the relegation release clause wasnt therealso yakubu would have cost more if it wasnt for his pretty poor stint at everton

Clemdog 39,389
Aye, he cost West Ham £7mill. He didn't cost Newcastle a penny on a transfer fee!I never said they did. I was more saying if it wasn't for West Ham's crazy/stupid clause he would have been expensive.Though I know Ba probably wouldn't have gone to West Ham had it not been for the clause. Albertz123 598
I honestly think Tiote is one of the most effective players I've seen in the EPL this season. Has the same effect keane vierra essien had for their respective teams IMO.
papaguy51 941
Demba Ba is still a risk.Tony Pulis is no fool and from what he said when Stoke turned Ba down, he's one twisted stud/kick to the knee away from disaster.Great player though. caps13gb 19
Got to give newcastle full credit, Alot of people were against alan pardew coming in. but what a job he has done (and what a scouting system they have)
ScottBF2 3,540
I honestly think Tiote is one of the most effective players I've seen in the EPL this season. Has the same effect keane vierra essien had for their respective teams IMO.A few players in Newcastle's squad who will be stars in the future Tim Krul just needs to iron out a few issues and he'll be a top 'keeper. Tiote and Cabaye are class acts, Ben Arfa needs to get to his pre-injury form and he'll be brilliant and of course Demba Ba is the signing of the season so far. Some decent deals been done in the past few years by Newcastle, can't be long before Ashley does something to fuck it up now. Ace 3,648
If we signed Ba, there would have been an uproar because of his problem knee and failed medical at Stoke.

ScottBF2 3,540
If we signed Ba, there would have been an uproar because of his problem knee and failed medical at Stoke. Our doctors would have rejected him as well, we're picky like that.
