Rangers Unite 11
Hello Bears,Just a quick introduction about who we are and what our aims are, directly from us and not a third party.Basically we have been working on a Fan Ownership Concept for the last 12 months, and we had planned to unveil it with all the background work done at the end of this season, hoping that Craig Whyte might want an exit out of the club and see handing it over to the fans as an ideal opportunity to leave a legacy, that was before we knew what he was all about. The concept was originally mooted during the protracted 'due dilligence' but as we seemed to be about to be taken on over by a wealthy fan the response was rather luke warm, although the concept itself was spoken of in good terms. So quielty we went about improving it and making it more practical and achievable, all the while watching in horror as events unfolded which drew us into rushing out the details in the fear of liquidation at that point, almost 2 weeks on and things do look brighter for us.But we still feel that Fan Ownership is the way forward and the best way to keep the club safe and secure by the people who love her most, us the fans. Please visit our website www.rangersunite.com for a full look at the proposal and hopefully any main questions are answered for you, but we will try to answer any questions anyone has specifically. You can also follow us on Twitter @RangersUnite and on Facebook www.facebook.com/RangersUnite.All we are asking for is for people to register their interest if they like the idea of the club being ran in a way similar to this or this way, we are not looking for any money at this stage in the process, just support. This in no ways goes up against the RFFF as we have been heavily promoting this to our followers to give what they can. This is in no way an anti RST/RSA/RSA movement, we just have a different idea that is all.We want Fan Ownership not fan representation on the board, there is a huge difference in our eyes.On the point quickly regarding the fans groups incase it crosses peoples minds, we got together largely because we feel that the fan groups didn't want to know about our issues etc, in some cases we couldn't even get a simple reply of any kind.We are not here to knock them, they do their thing well on behalf of their members, we plan to do ours. So, the reason why, basically if you take the average home support of say 45,000 bears, only a tiny, tiny fraction of them belong to any of the fan groups, if you take the whole support worldwide it is such a tiny number, it is those isolated fans that we want to bring together, to give them a voice and as one we can work on fighting back against biased and unfair reporting against us and the club, basically we feel in the 8 years or so the fans groups have been around, they haven't achieved as much as they should have for the fans and have had their chance, and continue to do so.Basically it is two-foldThe fans group RUFG will have a main aim in which to deal with members issues and speak up and defend the fans as much as we can, the more of us there are the louder and more credible voice we will have, this is in its infantcy right now but we hope enough like minded bears are fed up and want to be heard and want the constant stream of bad press to be challenged. That is our aim, we will be looking at ways in which we can connect the fans so they can communicate with other fans and share ideas and issues that need addressed. We also want to encourage an RSC 'network' where all RSC's that get involved as an RSC can have an website email in which we can all emails centrally and discuss our ideas, in effect the plan would be to have all the RSC's nomatter where located able to be in contact with each other to discuss ideas, strategies and press releases/statements etc. This is unchartered waters, thats not to say it isn't viable, we just cannot do it on our own, not do we want too. What is the cost of membership for all this? £0 we are not interested in charging and making money from it, we are genuinely sick of nobody standing up for us and decided to do something about it, so here we are.Yes we have made mistakes in pre launch etc, but none of us our claiming to be perfect, we are just regular everyday fans, with ideas of what would be a good way for the club to be run and a better option for some fans to feel part of something and to feel like they are doing something in the fightback. So please show us some support if you like our idea and register your interest (don't worry about the ST number, it is being removed) it was just an idea that basically is pointless in a practicale sense.Visit the site, if you like what you see, register your interest (the more interest the easier it will be to land the figureheads we seek)Follow us on Twitter for regular updates and debates on all things Rangers and add us on Facebook too.We hope you enjoy the site and feel free to contact us with any questions or we will try and answer any on here that we can as soon as we can.You can register for the F.O.C and also use the contact us part of the site to get involved with the fan group by heading it RUFG.If you do not like our idea, we welcome all constructive criticism that will help us improve, please refrain from taking needless pot shots at us all we are trying to do is do something good, if you don't like it, we will happily debate with you and thank you for your criticism we know we need figureheads and big hitters, it is currently being worked on, all we ask for is a bit of fairness and balance. That is all we ask.Bullet Points:Firstly and most importantly we do not and have not had any wish to handle the money side, ideally that would be done through the club/trusted/respected figureheads.Secondly we (a team of 7 everyday fans) want no media scrutiny or fame, we do not seek any media profile personally, the media campaign will be left to the professionals with media training again the figureheads and high profile endorsers, we want to keep our families privacy the way it is and away from the Scottish media frenzy, we are not doing this for fame or money, simply for The Rangers.Nobody would be asked to confirm they still want or even if they want to pay for their package they choose until all the legalities are in place and it is being controlled by respected and trustworthy figureheads.Payment eventually can be tailored to each individual, if the minimum £100 was not possible in one go it could be split into 2/4 easy payments to make giving every sngle bear the chance to own a part of the club, on the other scale people can if they wished purchase years in advance in one go, or purchase multiple and pay for it in breakdowns, like we say it is a long way off that yet.Basically it will work one membership one vote, all votes count and the majority vote rules, all people who will be in positions to run the club would be fully vetted and elected by us, the fans (members)Again we have to stress us, ourselves will have no involvement in the running of the club and will have an equal say as much as everyone else on important matters, no favouritism.Because we will own the club and elect the board, there will be no need for anyone sitting on the board to represent the fans. The manager would have total say in all footballing matters, the club would be run the same as any other club only the people running the club would be chosen by us and be removed by us (votes)What we have also done is bring in a number of benefits that hopefully equal or exceed the outlay or at least make it worthwhile because if all the finances are guaranteed from the start there is no need to worry about higher line profit when it comes to the members.Hopefully there isnt too much we have missed out on.All the man hours are worth it if our fellow fans have the same vision, all the personal costs are again worth it.Please show us your support, every bit of support is vital to making it work.We look forward to your feedbackW.A.T.P

Colonel Mustard 380
Again we have to stress us, ourselves will have no involvement in the running of the club and will have an equal say as much as everyone else on important matters, no favouritism.Because we will own the club and elect the board, there will be no need for anyone sitting on the board to represent the fans. So we buy the club, and have no say, apart from electing the board? How do we tell the elected board what their job is going to be?(I like the idea by the way). Rangers Unite 11
So we buy the club, and have no say, apart from electing the board? How do we tell the elected board what their job is going to be?(I like the idea by the way).We vet and elect the board based on their experience etc, they will have a remit of what is expected from us, we also get to set the transfer budget, the opportunity to put a wage cap etc, most of the things can can be pre set by us can be, it all goes down to vote. The full details are on the website with regards to our say.
