I can see why that would stop them winning the EPL but no cup wins in 8 seasons is pretty poor ... perhaps it's a case of if you put him and George together you get a really good manager because the invincibles team was better than the one Graham had and you would have to say also better than the ones after that that were exclusively built by Wenger

Probably a mental thing now with the pressure of the media and stuff surrounding cup games. It's concerning they are going out to lower league sides though and remember Birmingham beating them in the final not long ago too!

Consistency is a big problem for them but they are not alone, really it's only United who consistently perform in general this season and previous.

His professorial manner tends to put him above criticism but it's been so long since he won anything that you really do begin to wonder if he knows what he's doing.

I know he had a good team many years ago but a lot of that was build by George Graham

The first thing he did was buy Viera, then brought in the likes of Henry etc.. Short of Bergkamp, Wenger signed almost all of the invincibles team.

He also led Arsenal through two seasons only losing like one league match. His win % is remarkable when you consider it's only a fraction behind Ferguson and he's done it on a significantly smaller budget and whilst his board sold his best players - some of which to Man Utd directly!

I think he's done 'alright', aye..

So the second best supported club in England don't win anything for 8 seasons and the manager is above criticism?

Nope, but calling him a dud, and falsely declaring that his most successful team was built by someone else, goes a long way beyond criticism. You mention them having the second highest attendance figures in the league, but don't take into account what the club have done to achieve that.

Do you have problems reading ... where did I say that?

You are paid as a manager in any walk of life to get results,Wenger has not delivered, paper over the cracks but he has not delivered on the field, but off it well the club has reaped in his ways, but as a supporter,is that what you want?????

The Arsenal support aren't overjoyed about it, but they were made aware of what the long-term plans were and have bought into it, as the attendances have shown. That won't last forever though.

Arsenal have done rather well to consistently finish in the top four, especially with the sugar daddies arriving at Chelsea and Manchester City.

When Wrenger first joined Arsenal he revolutionized the British game. Diet, footballing style etc and that why his old Arsenal was so successful Now though all clubs have implemented this. I think he needs a fresh challenge and Arsenal need a manager with a fresh style.
