JamieD 20,044
Gerrard has been awful.Intriguingly, his mind seems to be going as well as his body. Which would make sense if he was 70.

King Jela 21,686
It'll be interesting watching him lead England out at the world cup and that being his only contribution to the entire tournament.
OLE SUPER WILBERT 2,475
It's a booking, but play shouldn't be stopped for a freekick. The ref has made that up.Eh? That's clearly a load of nonsense.

Creampuff 22,630
Eh? That's clearly a load of nonsense. It's unsporting behaviour. You book him at the next gap in play, there's absolutely no reason - or rule - to give a freekick.
simplythebest 11,453
One of these "let's not ruin the game" decisions there. Fucking scourge on the game.Never really get that, rules are rules surely.

FernandoR20 2,133
Imagine rivals sitting beside and amongst each other? The Liverpool - Everton games are good but as 'rivarly', it's pathetic.

JamieD 20,044
Never really get that, rules are rules surely.Absolutely. In fact, if some arsehole decides to throw in a dangerous tackle on the assumption that the referee will be lenient so as not to "ruin" the game (as if that's his job) then said arsehole deserves a red card and a punch in the face. JamieD 20,044
There's no need to stop the play. It's illogical. Why does there have to be a need? Maybe Phil Dowd, being a chubby fucker, doesn't feel like chasing Barkley down several minutes later and then having to explain why he's booking him. So he stops it immediately. And once the game is stopped, it has to be restarted.
