had the guy been marked, made a quick darting sprint and flicked a header right before our defender did then fair enough, but he never, just like sinclairs goal against us, kiernan has absolutely no positional sense and awareness of whats around him, it was the only motherwell player anywhere near him ffs

Clint hill was terrible at the goal, no need for him to run out to the guy who was crossing the ball, his priority was to stay in the box for the cross. Hodson is too small for a defender,and along with tav,not a great one

There must have been a mistake earlier in the build up to Motherwell's goal for the guy to get so much time to put a cross in, but for me the main thing that stood out was  Kiernans inability to stay with his man and defend what should be a meat and drink situation for a defender. I don't see Hodson as being at fault for that goal, as he tried to get to Moult once he realised Kiernan had lost  him. 

We shouldn't persevere with Kiernan any longer.
