The 26-year-old is hoping to take advantage of Romania's new EU status which will allow any player from that country to play in England without the need of a work-permit. Time to start thinking forward.Buffel had no future under LeGuen, but Smith/McCoist could encourage him into the player he always threatened to be. Smith was able to pick Laudrup up off the floor, dust him down, and motivate him back to greatness at what was a dissapointing time of his career (sitting on the bench at Milan). Smith has great man-management skills and helps the good rise in all players. Buffel did not become rubbish overnight, but lacks confidence and motivation. But I wouldnt mind a team like this, we all know we have issues at the back, but if we had a strong midfield hopefully they could cope better.
