Hullo!, Hullo!...We Are The Rangers Boys!

Hullo!, hullo! You'll Know Us By Our Noise!

We're Up To Our Knees In Celtic Tears, OR And If you Are A Celtic Fan

Surrender Or You'll Die!

For We Are The Glasgow Rangers Boys!

[____________________________________

The words are altered to:

a) completely align with those sung by other sets of supporters (e.g. Man U, Chelsea, et al)

b) take out the 'Fenian Blood' reference, replacing it with 'Celtic's tears' or the same that the above clubs sing (second option)

Depending on the response, the outcome of this poll may be used to support a letter to the club suggesting that allowing us to sing an altered version, in line with other leading British clubs that sing similar versions every Saturday, is only fair and just.

It would give us the right to add a favourite Rangers tune back into our repetoire.

Substitute "We're Up To Our Knees In Celtic Tears,Surrender Or You'll Die! "

with

"We'll follow Glasgow Rangers, our hearts are loyal & true" (seeing as they are the words from one of the old club LPs).

No need to mention those mhanky scum.

Id prefer, "We'll do anything to see our team at ibrox or away" than the celtic tears and surrender or you'll die stuff tbh

Agree with this. Must say that the whole banning of BB/FF is inane. Been away from Scotland for years, but I just can't imagine Ibrox without this tune.

Small wonder the atmosphere suffers for it.

i seriously doubt that they can ban a tune that contains no bigoted lyrics........i hear it sung down south often on the other games

change the lyric and sing the song, simple

dunno if i like celtic tears though the other sounds better!

and true the majority can be trusted but it only a minority to spoil it!

Man U sing following words (sometimes Man U instead of Busby..)

Hello, hello, we are the the Busby boys,

Hello, hello, we are the the Busby boys,

And if you are a City fan,

Surrender or you'll die,

We all follow United

Certainly we could use "and if you are a Celtic fan" instead of the "up to our knees in Celtic tears" to be completely aligned with both Chelsea and Man U? Will change this ....

no chance - for a start it would get hijacked and would only take one "fan" to land us in the dock again.

You need to let it go - it will never happen.

Cheese eating surrender monkey.

What do the French have to do with it? :craphead:

It can't happen the tune is banned.

... so were women from voting mate...if something is unjust you do something about it (in a manner that is going to get what you want), not give up!

Changed words to be IDENTICAL TO EQUIVALENT MAN U & CHELSEA SONGS..(see option in modified post mate..)

The tune might be banned but i think if we sent this in to Rangers or whoever it is showing that the fans and club are actively trying to get rid of sectarianism and that we have moved on!!!

Im all for it!

Hullo Hullo!!

no it isn't all the other teams are allowed this tune for their songs.

if the words were changed they couldn't touch us - however can you see everybody sticking to the new words? old habits die hard and it would be difficult not to sing the words we all know and love ;)
