Muff 245
RANGERS will face Celtic twice in 11 days following the release of the post-split SPL fixtures tonight. The Light Blues go to Parkhead on Wednesday, April 16 and they will be back there on Sunday, April 27 in what will be their first post-split fixture if they progress in the Scottish Cup and UEFA Cup. The SPL have not scheduled a Rangers fixture for the weekend of April 19 and 20 as the Ibrox men will play St Johnstone at Hampden in the semi-final on the 20th if they get past Partick Thistle on Sunday. Instead they have set a home date with Motherwell for Wednesday, May 7. The outstanding postponements with St Mirren at Love Street and Motherwell at Fir Park have yet to be fixed. But it looks like the SPL would put this game on April 20 if Rangers are stunned by the Jaqs in Sunday's replay The fixtures look like this: Sunday, April 27 - Celtic (a) ko tbc Sunday, May 4 - Hibs (a) 2pm Wednesday, May 7 - Motherwell (h) 7.45pm. Saturday, May 10 - Dundee Utd (a) 12.30pm Sunday, May 18 - Aberdeen (a) 1.30pm

simplythebest 11,453
Hopefully we win the league before the Dundee Utd match on may the 10th or at least have the chance to win it on that day so we can have the title celebrations.
MikeBlue 136
They're relying on us not reaching the UEFA cup final and/or us clinching the title early (then they can schedule 4 games in 8 days and we can just play the under 19's in one of the games. Both are pretty good shouts TBH. Although if we played a weakened team against Motherwell and lost, that might make a difference in who finishes third. Muff 245
Potential trophy day on Saturday 10th May v Dundee United. Aberdeen away on the last day, 1.30pm kick-off. What's that all about?
GGBear 0
Just worked out if we stay in both Cups until the Finals (ever hopeful) and including the St Mirren and Motherwell games still to be scheduled, we will have 12 away games and 3 home games. Thats a crazy schedule! In the same period Celtic have 4 home and 2 away - nicely spaced out! How can they say that extending the league is unfair?!? rfc72 0
What about they re-arranged St. Mirren and Motherwell games? Says on the BBC the games will be arranged for spare midweeks if we get knocked out by Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night
ibleedblue 0
They're relying on us not reaching the UEFA cup final and/or us clinching the title early (then they can schedule 4 games in 8 days and we can just play the under 19's in one of the games. Both are pretty good shouts TBH. Although if we played a weakened team against Motherwell and lost, that might make a difference in who finishes third. Don't care who finishes third. If we are forced to play 4 games in 8 days and we field a weakened team, then the teams fighting for 3rd place only have the SPL and Fir Park to blame.
