He was very average as last season drew to a close, but im delighted to see him have such a positive start to the season When you are playing alongside the likes of Dailly and Adam everyweek can you blame him for being under-par? However, I thought the wee man was looking very sharp, seems to have been more than capable of catching McWeedy all day and then having the strength and fitness to charge straight up the park. Because he is so easy on the eye Mendes will take all the plaudits, but Davis's workrate and tenacity mean that he is going to be as important as any player this year. But on a more serious note you gotta say that between them Steven and Kirk must have reduced the market value of Mcweedy from multi billions to tuppence happeny, biggest fall in value ever in an hour and a half.
