Wenger is a big user of Fartlek training. This is where you take no rests between excersises. Typical fartlek routine:

Jog for say 1 mile, sprint for 50 meters, jog slowly for half a mile. Then keep repeating with no breaks.

The reason guys like Walcott can burn pace with 70mins gone is due to Wenger

Jock Wallace made the players run up and down sand dunes until they were physically sick.

He also made players stand in a wall and the person with the hardest shot would smack it at them. :lol: anyone who moved would be fined/dropped (I can't remember)

That ensured players would not turn their back when shots or crosses came at them unlike Adam yesterday when he was sold the dummy and was left for dead after he jumped and turned his back on opposition and the ball.
