Football League "team Of The Decade"

Recommended Posts

Anybody see this? Picked to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the football league awards.

Schemicel

Rangel

Morgan

Williams

Bale

Lallana

Whittingham

Hoolahan

Lambert

Murray

Rhodes

Manager: Eddie Howe

Not convinced by that team at all really. Massively influenced by where certain players are now as opposed to what they did when they played in the football league.

Bale was always gonna get put in but I think he only spent 1 year in the football league

Yeah he's the big surprise that's not a surprise if that makes sense

Ian Harte has been in something like four teams of the year in the past decade. Same with Kelvin Davis. That's surelyteam of the decade worthy form?

I think Kevin Phillips deserves a place too. He's been a big player at three different clubs who achieved proportion to the Premiership and must have scored about 75 goals in the process too.

I think Phillips might be the all time top scorer in the championship if not he must be up there

Stephen Dobbie almost deserves a mention for his end of season exploits during play-offs!

If we're picking a Southampton player then surely Morgan Schneiderlin deserves the shout, considering he played with the Saints from League 1, I'm sure? Though in fairness, you could make a good case for all three of those midfielders at least.

Also, Grant Holt maybe?

I was about to mention Dobbie as well. He's won the playoff finals 2 or 3 times now?

I think it's twice, Blackpool and Swansea IIRC?

Don't think he's ever really had a decent crack at the Premiership after getting teams up mind you
