Sunday was the tipping point. A massive missed opportunity to beat them with a few key players missing. The realisation that if we cant beat them under those circumstances we are pretty fucked as they will likely improve and we look rudderless. Grim.

Harsh. I think more to do with setup. Was mentioned earlier when he instinctively wanted to move out to engage but held back to hold shape. This is tactiics and setup on Beale imo. We are so rigid, robotic. He's taken away the players being able to play off the cuff and capitalise on a weakness, opportunity within a game. Turgid shite. Gutted.

Agree with this. A game where the likes of Cifu, Lammers, Dessers may struggle with the potential frantic nature in alot of these games and it passes them by. I just don't think there ready for this game.

Are we being set up to zonal mark? Certainly appears that way. Maybe Beale should try to simplify the setup and ask our defenders to mark their men putting our strongest defenders on the biggest threat...

Where do we find these players within the budget we have to be able to compete at that level. Unless we get lucky with a home grown player coming through or more punts on someone who's lost their way but may turn it around. The reality is we're trawling in a market below what most teams competing in the champions league are.
