Creampuff 22,628
50 for David WarnerDavid Warner brings up his fifty. It's been a good innings, really had to battle early on when Stuart Broad was all over him. Cook probably let Warner off the hook by introducing Moeen too early. 22 overs gone.AUS 87-
Creampuff 22,628
Joe Root coming into the attack. He always seems to break partnerships, absolute golden arm
Duncan 23
Who do we all want to win? England
Creampuff 22,628
Cook's captained well in this side so far, but I'm not convinced with his tactics to Smith in the second innings. He seems certain that he thinks spin is the way to go against him, but he's perfectly comfortable against spinners. The fact he got himself out to Moeen in the first innings doesn't change the fact that he's a wonderful player of spin.
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETLast over before lunch, Moeen traps Warner lbw. That's really poor from Warner, he's just lost concentration before lunch. It was a great morning for Australia right up until that ball. Lunch taken after 26.3 overs.AUS 97-
sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Moeen takes Warner's wicket just before lunch Australia 97-
sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Good comeback from Moeen after being hit around the park earlier on.
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETSteve Smith out for 33. Edges Broad to Bell at slip. That's the game over as a contest one would think, Smith was Australia's best hope of getting a big individual score.AUS 101-
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETMichael Clarke joins the club of "what have you done there?" which is solely populated by Australian batsmen. Flashes at a wide delivery from Broad that should just have been left alone. Straight down the throat of Ben Stokes. AUS 106-
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETThis is madness. Australia dropping like flies. Adam Voges flicks Wood to Buttler behind the stumps. AUS 106-
sandyinroyalblue 16,478
97-1 at the stroke of lunch to 106-5 in the space of about 40 minutes. An England style middle order batting collapse from Australia.
Creampuff 22,628
Australia just need to stick around now and try to bring down the difference to something less humiliating.
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETBrad Haddin. Great catch from Cook. Moeen has bowled dross and has 2-22 AUS 122-
Clemdog 39,389
Can't believe how this first test has gone! Australia have just totally fucked it.
Creampuff 22,628
Johnson and Watson block and leave about 40 balls, then Johnson smashes Moeen for six
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETShane Watson goes for 19. In a cliched fashion, it's an lbw against Watson, and he's reviewed it pointlessly. Plumb. Possibly the last we see of Shane Watson in test cricket.AUS 151-
sandyinroyalblue 16,478
All of a sudden with no Harris, probably no Starc in the next test and Johnson struggling the Australian bowling attack looks as if it's there for the taking.Hazelwood,Lyon and Siddle if they pick him will have to bowl well at Lords to keep Australia in it.
Creampuff 22,628
I reckon Starc will be fine for the Second Test. He bowled well yesterday and has today and tomorrow to rest up before prep for Lord's.Siddle more than capable to come in, and there's always Cummins around now as well. I suspect in the next match Mitch Marsh will replace Shane Watson, and Marsh is fit enough to bowl a full allocation when required.
Creampuff 22,628
50 for Mitchell Johnson, 200 for AustraliaJohnson clips Broad away for four to bring up a good 50. Showing the likes of Clarke and Smith what they've missed out on. This pitch is fine to bat on. Delaying the inevitable and making the score slightly less humiliating.AUS 203-
Creampuff 22,628
WICKETMitchell Starc falls to Joe Root. Juggling catching in the slips. Australia 2 away from defeat.AUS 223-

plymouthranger 3,872
I don't think anyone predicted that, certainly nobody expected such an emphatic win!England's record at lords is woeful in the ashes, so it'll be interesting to see if the Aussies bounce back

Creampuff 22,628
I feel like Josh Hazelwood's style of bowling will be very well suited to Lord's.
