  1. It seems to me a bit ironic, that it's celtics' poor results that have put PC under pressure.

By the time he came in most of us had accepted the league was gone.

However that poor run they had got us right back into it. If that hadn't happened the lost points at Dundee and RC would still have hurt, but there would have been a degree of "meaningless" about them.

If we didn't get back into the title race and won 2 cups PC would be in a much stronger position.

Ok the second cup isn't there yet, but it could be.

I don't think there is a manager on the planet who could do anything with the lovers we have in this team.

You are probably right, but we are unlikey to have the funds to change the team.

So do we change the manager, or just hope it might all click?

If PC was finishing as well as he started, I'd be fully behind him, but  he isn't.

So do we give him the next transfer window and then bin him in September ?

Or do we bite the bullet now, and give the next manger the transfer window?

  3. PC has shown us the best he can do with the shit squad he has at his disposal.

Initially it was very good, but ultimately was no where good enough.

Unless we have the funds to revamp the sqaud then our only option is to give an other manager the chance to see if he can do better.

They (Hearts obv)do not have anything to lose today, the mindset may well be if Sheepie can score three against Them, then it might be worth having a go at that defence  especially when you have the most lethal striker in the League on board. I somehow doubt that this will finish 0-0 at the Piggery today.

I might be in the minority, but I'd rather they kept 11 men behind the ball and get a draw, than go for it and leave them chances.

We'll see soon enough, but although they are dodgey in defence I think they do better when teams come at them

It’s like we have a pile of boxes, one for each wide player, worst at the bottom.

So we pick the top one, he plays shite and we put him to the bottom.

Each game we repeat until the shite guy is back at the top again.

    :pipe:

Problem is, if the manager sees that they're  just different shades of shit, so decides to pick one all the time to try and instill some confidence which might lead to better performance, he gets hounded for it.

We have so many average to poor players, I'd just pick 11 and tell them their place is guaranteed if fit.

If they don't have to worry about being dropped the might start to repay the confidence shown in them.

(I’m selling Butland to generate some cash, not that I don’t like him).

    Not sure about this.

Firstly I dread to think where we'd be now without him. I think it's 8 games we've won by a single goal, without Butland at least some of those could have been draws or worse.

Second, how much are we likely to get.  There didn't seem to be much interest in him when he was available on a free, and whilst he's been brilliant for us, we all know English clubs look down their noses at Scottish Football.

Also whilst 31 isn't old for a keeper, there will be little or no sell on vallue.

So our only real hope of a decent fee would be interest from the Saudis.

As were crying out for leaders I'd keep him and give him the armband.

    What is this attitude

If we hadn't won the league cup we would be staring down the barrel of another trophyless season

If we are playing celtic at Hampden in May for the Scottish cup there is no one going to be sitting around the morning of that game going "och no fussed how this goes the day" just because we lost out on the league

Is anybody going to say "we lost the league, but it doesn't matter we've got a cup final" ?

  8. To me the Scottish Cup only really matters if it's part of a treble. Yes I always want us to everything we enter. I wouldn't lose any sleep over not winning any of the cups.

So if we hadn't won the League cup I wouldn't be too fussed about the Scottish cup.

But we did win the League cup, and so the treble is still on.

Obviously the league is going to take a bit of a miracle, but it is still on.

  9. Seems I got the weight limit wrong, it's 11st 5lb not 11st.

So that brings in Farouk D'alene and Statler. Also some I ruled out on price are back in.

However as @Goofy The Scothas pointed out the recent changes may well have skewed the stats.

I got £250 back on El Jefe yesterday so going £5 ew on the 3 that I originaly came up with.

Could be interesting that @theblueoysterbar has also come up with Adamantly Chosen.

  10. It's obviously an advantage to us if we don't have to play on that shitty pitch, but it's hardly a sporting integrity issue.

If it's played at St Johnstone in a similar sized ground not too far from Dundee, I don't see the issue.

If it was moved to a much larger ground and a lot more "away" fans were allowed in, then they might have something to moan about.

  11. I've tried to pick the winner using trends and jumping ability.

The two main trends seem to be age - 7,8,9,- and weight- less than 11 stone.

So that take the field of 34 down to 11. Obviously the winner could come from one of the 23 discarded, but the trends say not.

Of the 11 left, the trend on price says 11-1 or higher. So we can lose Vanilier, Meeting of the Waters and Panda Boy.

Limerick Lace, Mr Incredible and Kittys light just sneak in but they could well be shorter by the time they go off.

Gallia des Liteaux came out top on my list, but no mare has won it since 1951, so that one can go.

Chemical Energy seems to be a very poor jumper which is hardly ideal even for the now easier fences, so that can go.

    So that leaves.

    Adamantly Chosen

    The Goffer

    Minella Crooner.

Now given that they are priced at 66-1 twice and the other at 80s it would suggest that several that have been ruled out shouldn't have been, so if I was to put one back in it would be Kittys Light.

However I like to try and get some vallue, so I'm going with The Goffer and Minella Crooner.

I think both are a good ew shout.
