  1. So what you're saying is that he's due one? Brilliant!
  2. Win next week and they are under pressure, make no mistake about it. Their mindset is that this is done, and it's hard to change if turns out it isn't
  3. Maybe true, but looks like we're going to win by 3 without a clean sheet
  4. Win today by 2 and then put 3 past them next weekend and it's all square. That's the sort of mindset I'd like our players to have
  5. Exactly, win today. Beat them next week and then watch them crumble against Kilmarnock. Simple
  6. This is so true. I can remember thinking when we signed Roofe, "good player, but he'll never stay fit"
  7. Shankland on a free right now would be a no brainer IMO. A year from now, probably still a good option. So for that reason Hearts will look to sell this summer and I don't think we should be spending big money for a player of his age
  8. Harsh, tbh I think Cantwell, Diomande, Danilo, Ridvan and Cortes (if fit and bought) all offer something. Wouldn't actually be that bothered about keeping Dessers as one option out of 3 at CF, unless a decent offer comes in. Realistically, we aren't going to replace the whole team
  9. One year is pretty generous tbh
  10. You'd think, wouldn't you? But we've seen enough of this guy now to know that he won't
  11. In 2005, I was trudging away from Ibrox after we lost the game against them and I heard someone say - "it's 4 games, if they draw one and lose one we'll be champions". His mate said "Aye, no problem" Never give up
  12. Probably correct. The question is (was) - would that speculation have been worthwhile to try to secure the far bigger payday of winning the league? We'll never know. I certainly wouldn't be looking to spend that much on him now
  13. Shankland would have been a decent option in January to try and secure the Champions League money. Now, given his age and the likely fee Hearts will be looking for, I don't think he'd be a good buy at all
  14. Worth remembering that Sterling didn't start at LB against Ross County, Barisic did. Sterling was on the bench
  15. Indeed. Never mind captains, I'd love to see an Ian Ferguson type in our midfield
  16. Exactly. After the miserable watch on Wednesday was watching Man City v Real. Every combination of about three passes ended up with a player on the ball in space - we just aren't doing that (OK they lost, but they were playing Real)
  17. Top players want to win every game. Gascoigne would have been desperate to win a kick about in a park
  18. Said it before, but worth repeating- he appears to be a footballer who can do it when we wants, but isn't overly bothered about losing. I'm not interested in having players like that at Rangers
  19. This is true, but as it happens, they were all better footballers than Tav and (especially) Goldson
  20. Not when he was on loan. Ultimately, as a signed player, I agree, but on loan the majority of the support was desperate for us to sign him
  21. Incredible for a 20 year old, and that's why he's such a star. Worth remembering that there was a young English AM a few years ago who had an amazing will to win by the name of Gerrard. Did he manage to instill that in some of the players we have who still can't handle it? I suspect you've either got it, or you haven't
  22. "Always"? Not really. Sima's on loan and has done well Tilman was PFA young player of the year last season Kent did well enough on loan that we spent 7M on him
  23. No he's not, but right now he's way below what we need from a central midfielder if we want to win anything. He seems to be a player who does have ability, but happy to take things easy when it suits him, even if that means losing games. The old quote about "show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser", applies
  24. Sima through the middle and Matondo on might be worthwhile Can't really see Raskin being worse than Lawrence at centre mid, tbh Move Sterling to mid and put Barisic on?
