Our ticket allocation for when we play Queens Park at Hampden
robertkay replied to Darrenmt7's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
The first team train at Lesser but play all home matches at Hampden. The youth sides and ladies side play at Lesser. -
Queen's Park player threatens to crock Rangers players
robertkay replied to bombaybadboy08's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
lol. I won't defend him in any comment he makes against Rangers, just passing on that he's not actually a bheast...which probably makes it bloody worse! Daft boy, especially given the nightmare he had in the last Queen's Park game I saw. -

Can't really defend him, idiotic comment but he was brought up around the corner from me and is definitely a Rangers fan. -

Is 433 & the passing game the way forward?
robertkay replied to LeeWallaceRFC's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I've got to disagree with the underlined part, but of course it's just my opinion. To play 1 up front and then aim a long ball at them is just welcoming pressure. It's 4v1 in the defences favour (5 if you include the goalkeeper). It works when teams are disorganised, like Brechin in the first 10 minutes yesterday when they had a CB dropping with the striker who was winning the scraps and a runner going in behind the defence (through the gap left by the pressing cb) but if the back line get close enough that they can't control it, but far enough away that no space is left behind then it is up to midfield runners to make the defence think about flick ons etc. If a team matches us up in the middle then this, again, is not going to work as all they need to do is track runs. IMO the only way 433 is worthwhile is to build from the back. One I quite like (which is one of thousands of options) is for the wide forward two to tuck in and the full back to overlap. The holding midfielder provides cover to make a back 3 for both fullbacks to press on. The opposition wingers drop back to help their fullback and the team will invariably leave 1 up front against our 3. We can then stretch them until we get an attempt at goal, or more likely, until they foul us. Again, just my opinion on it. -

For 4-3-3 and indeed a passing game to work, Alexander has to play from the back and stop ushering his back line up the pitch to kick long. Not a criticism as such as the long ball worked to more of an extent than it has in previous seasons yesterday until Brechin dropped a bit, but theres no point in kicking long, winning the scraps then passing it about. -
Most of the statements he gives or produces includes elements such as "I think Rangers fans are agreed that...." and "we feel that...". When he starts speaking about Rangers fans reactions to things, which he often includes as a justification for his answers, he is acting as, well, a spokesman. Thought that was self explanatory to be honest. If those defending him and calling this a campaign of sorts can't see why someone making money using the good name of Rangers isn't acceptable then they're more suited to following another team.

As far as I know the youth squads will remain in the performance tier at U11 and U12, Elite Tier at U13 to U16 (perhaps U15). What's unclear from what I gather is whether the U17s will play in the Peformance Tier or the SFL U17s league. With the introduction of elite youth level (Rangers, celt*c, Hibs, Hearts, Dundee United and Aberdeen) it may be that it is too complex to make any changes, especially with the introduction of U20s football. The club I coach with are Performance Pro Youth at U11/U12s and then Initiative Pro Youth for the older age groups (apart from U17s who are split between the SFL league and Performance Pro Youth). The youngest age groups at Rangers are definitely staying as they are as we are due to play them inside the first few games.

Spain V Japan (Men's) and one other is at Hampden as well mate

think we will play on Sundays when the scum are at home? They will prob take preference due to being in SPHell. Hopefully we can get a way to screen our away games as well as tickets will be bloody hard to get for some of those wee grounds lol

I dont understand how it can happen though. We haven't applied for membership to SPL 2 and were rejected/releived of our membership of the SPL. Add to this the league doesn't exist, has no TV contract in place so is surely no more attractive to anyone than SFL1 and its less than a month to the new season I just can't see it happening.

St Mirren board meeting 03/07/2012
robertkay replied to Pontius Pilate's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
From a presumably separate source who attended the meeting I can confirm the OP is correct -
I wanted, for the last few weeks/months, for us to start over in division 3....however, we finished 2nd in the league* and do not deserve to be relegated. We are NOT a new club, and our club finished some 48 points above the team who DOES deserve to be relegated. Infact, that 48 points should have been 58 points! A tally higher than 8 of the other "Sporting Integrity" Clubs. In short, Yes, If CG manages to keep us in the SPL with sanctions (1 year max) then he will have my cautious backing....it's times like these we might(MIGHT) benefit from having someone leading with their head rather than their heart

One season with no visits from Rangers fans (assuming they finish in the top 6) means nearly £200,000 to them. That's a couple of their senior players' salary for a year combined in that loss! Imagine what 3 seasons without it would be? Residual income/contingency from the old stadium sale will also dwindle with time if it hasn't already and, the older the new place gets, the more maintenance work will be required.
-
Definitely, I coach at another pro youth club but offered to leave to help out if some of the paid guys leave. Undoubtedly I would work for Rangers anyway but I'm happy, priveleged even, to forfeit my wage.
-
I've already offered to coach for free for the youth department. Waiting on JS or CM coming back to me.

I was a bit in between tonight but if the stadium is at risk then green can fuck off..... Saying that, us fans cant agree enough to run the club on our own

Brilliant turn out tonight at Ibrox.
robertkay replied to ForeverBlue_Since91's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Surely a sad day if we'd rather trust an outsider than bomber? -
What I don't understand is, if he is going to sell the assets could he not just do it with the original takeover company (the old newco) as the owner. Or does he gain more to move it then sell it, or whatever he's doing Surely, knowing that some angry bears are going to be at the door at 7pm, he would issue some kind of statement - unless of course, he doesn't give a shit

Ibrox and Auchenhowie getting sold?
robertkay replied to CanadianBacon's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I know there's a question mark in the title but it's still a bit naughty...severe heart attack! -
why would sevco be liquidated? I don't understand what is to be gained by this?
