  1. So when we play well.....clap. When we play poorly.....boo. I just don't see that as a proper way to support your team at all. Perhaps if it was felt there was a lack of effort from the players, but nobody can fault them in that respect. Performances will be up and down, particularly in an early rebuilding stage like we're going through under Walter. If fans are going to Ibrox at this time expecting to watch entertaining football, then I have no sympathy for such naievity. The team we are watching week in week out may not be pretty, but they have been oustanding in the results department this season, and at this stage that should be more than enough to satisfy our support. Applauding this team for their efforts, even on nights where we fail to click in terms of performance, is something they deserve. If fans can't bring themselves to do that, then I'd suggest silence. Booing should never be an option under the circumstances we find ourselves in. I agree with you ScotBear 100%, I would never boo the team I love and support, it is disgraceful IMO.
  2. I was not on here last night, and after reading a few topics this morning I am glad I was not. What a bunch of moaning b******s, I know we did noy play well yesterday and many times during the game I thought the cup had gone, but the criticism of Barry, Walter and whoever else is 'shite' is way over the top. FFS try and enjoy our first trophy for three years rather than whinge and complain so much.
  3. Spot on MG. I'll savour it when the title's firmly in the bag, but until then, we have a lot of work to do. Delighted with that result, but agree with the points above. I fear there will be a few twists and turns yet before we can say the title is back where it belongs.
  4. definately no need for a banner, a card with a message of support in his fight with cancer would suffice That would be a nice gesture and one I'm sure he would appreciate. Private but personal message of support from supporters of his footballing rivals would mean a great deal to him I think thats the way ahead Very happy for a message to be sent to Tommy and his family, but would also support a banner if anyone makes one.
  5. Sad news, all the best Tommy for a full recovery.
  6. I hope the SFA are aware of his comments, he is a total w****r.
  7. I was at the game and was sure Adam got our second goal, and took some very good corners, including the goal for 1 - 1. He is not a great player but as long as Walter plays him I will support him. Why? If he's not playing well or not putting in 110% effort for the club, while you're paying his wages, you have every right to be unhappy with him. I really don't get the whole 'as long as he plays I'll wear my blue tinted specs' idea, is it only me? Why ? because although I get frustrated with Adam at times if Walter thinks he is the best option for that game then that is OK and I will give the player my support along with a few bad words when he makes a bad pass, but unlike a lot of fans I know that Walter has far more knowledge of the team to pick than I do. As for 'wearing my blue tinted specs' goes, that is up to me, maybe I am a little older in the tooth than some on here and can indeed see the wood through the tree's, some of the negative posts on this forum at times are ridiculous IMO.
  8. I was at the game and was sure Adam got our second goal, and took some very good corners, including the goal for 1 - 1. He is not a great player but as long as Walter plays him I will support him.
  9. Whats the f,ck has how much you sweat got to do with how fit you are ?? I play amateur football and after a game I can come off looking like I havent even run a yard, with almost no sweat at all, even though inside I feel like I have just climbed Everest. I then look over to our team captain (who is the fittest player in the squad, comes 1st in every fitness test we do and trains harder than any player in the team) and he is covered in sweat, his face is bright red and he looks like he's about to die. Now if you ask someone to look at us both and pick the player who looks fit they would pick me everytime, but that doesnt mean its true !! Boyd is clearly a bloater...he is very unfit, everybody can see it! He's slow, overweight, fat, has no agility....he spends most the game walking slowly around the pitch and puffing/wheezing like an overweight asthmatic Hippo. The sooner he leaves Rangers the better as then we will be able get a proper professional footballer in and not a Sunday pub player. How is it that you know better than the PROFESSIONAL fitness coach who works at Murray park, you are making statements that you cannot possibly back up, they are just your biased opinion of a natural goal scorer that we should be glad plays for our team. This forum is for everyones opinion but try and get behind the team rather than write this kind of nonsense, it is the knid of thing I would expect from someone who supports an opposition team. :angry2:
  10. I 'hate' to see Celtic winning any football match, but I do not 'hate' people who support Celtic, but realise many would not agree with me. I also 'hate' England to win at any sport but again do not 'hate' English people. For me it is all about not wanting your rivals winning.
  11. No that statement makes YOU look pretty bad. You are spot on there TBB.
  12. Well said S.B., the negativity on here and the phone-ins are an embarrassment. We all want to watch good football but if what we are seeing at the moment gets us the league I for one will be over the moon.
  13. I agree, good as a sub, but should not be starting.
  14. Welcome mate, the story is down to one star when I voted a few minutes ago.
  15. It is worth pointing out that he has high praise for Barry in the article as well, after the debate about his new contract yesterday on this forum it is great to see Laudrup saying such good things about our captain.
  16. A safe assumption to make my friend. However, IMO, Ferguson has done little to justify staying even at that level. No trophies for nearly 3 years, inconsistent form, injuries and alleged fall outs with managers suggests keeping him at such a high wage may be risky. Blaming Barry for us not winning trophies is nonsense, and lets not go back to the old PLG shite about falling out with managers. What about all the managers who have made him captain and think so highly of him as a player. I understand George Burley has said he will continue to be Scotland captain, so that is another endorsement for Barry from the new Scotland manager.
  17. Out of those two dates it would need to be 3rd March I would think, because we play Panathinaikus on Wed 13th @ Ibrox.
  18. You might well be right 'Muff' but Walter must have thought he had got the big lad from Italy. I wonder why they pulled out of the loan for Samaras, I think that was a mistake because it would only have been wages.
  19. Thought we played well in the first 35 minutes and should have been one or two ahead, in the end I was really happy to get the replay, and if we can win it the draw for a change has been goo to us.
  20. We would all have liked to have had a couple of great signings in the window, but if Walter cannot get the players he wants then we have to accept that. Dailly will be 'back up' if we get any injuries, I would rather have him here for a few months rather than be short of experienced players for the run in. I am prepared to trust Walter in whoever he brings in, apart from Faye he has done well so far.
  21. The situation is worrying, but maybe Walter will pull a couple of rabbits from the hat yet.
