  1. Alba - we were 4-0 up by then FFS Really, try and think a little before you spout your hate - that post means that from now on you have little or no credibility
  2. agree with Danny re McGregor - though would have gave barry an 8 - Adam an 8 - Novo 7.5 and Boyd an 8 - as bad as Boyds 2 misses were, he scored 2 goals and set up 2 others. Incidently - I thought Clement was quietly outstanding also
  3. was actually a really good run from Sebo - blew past 2 Utd Defenders as if they were standing still.
  4. HAHAHAHA Gotta love old Archie "There goes Sebo - legs going like the clappers!" LOL
  5. no, he looks very shaky - watching on Rangers TV Not coming for cross balls that he should, and coming for ones that he has no business coming for
  6. and it's not just one or two fans booing, though after the first chorus a response of Oh Barry Barry was cleary heard
  7. flipping monsoon now at half time - ball was beginning to stick on the pitch near the end of the half Hate to be a pessimist, but I cant see this game being called off Which would just be our luck
  8. Just one thing, you say we are targeting Weir, McCulloch and Hartley Exactly how do you know this Greengrass? When did any of the clubs involved release this information? Or is that that you choose to believe this particular batch of press speculation because it suits your story?
  9. My thoughts on the Klos/mcGregor pic were 1) No Letizi in the shot 2) Is there the slimmest of chances that Klos will start on Saturday? New manager, new ideas?
  10. Dont listen to all this talk about clubs coming to watch him. That is just nonsense released from his agent and his club to try to panic Rangers into paying a higher price. Happens all the time and we cannot fall for that. The fact that we are negotiating now for him tells me that the 500k limit set by Hughes yesterday was bs and also that there is not a string of clubs waiting to get this lad.
  11. 500k is too mich, he is a player with 5 playing months left on hsi existing contract and earning a wage that does nto equate to a 500k player. That being said, 200k is probably fair. As much as we want players in, we cannto be held hostage by anyone
  12. from Auntie Beeb Scotland and Rangers have reached agreement on compensation for Walter Smith's move to Ibrox as manager. The Scottish Football Association had threatened to sue Smith and the Glasgow club after rejecting an initial offer from Rangers chairman Sir David Murray. But Rangers say a figure has been agreed - believed to be ?400,000 - and that it will be ratified by the SFA at a board meeting on Monday. The SFA insist: "There will be no statement until after that meeting."
  13. re 'Near Toronto Canada' Hey, KKennedy - where are in relation to Toronto? I was up your way last month - flew to Toronto, stayed in a hotel by the airport then drove to Hamilton for the Billy Connolly gig.
  14. IMHO - if he is still here, Buffel has to start. he is clearly our most creative forward/midfielder and I would definitely give him a shot Of course by Saturday he may be gone and that will render this post useless
  15. I dont think Walter would come here just to be boss till the end of the season. I think he is here for 2 or 3 years at least.
  16. so what credentials do Billy Davies and George Burley have that makes them great prospects to manage Rangers? Davies has never managed at the top level. Did pretty well at Preston, and almost got them promoted a few times. When I see the word ALMOST associated to a coach I equate to to failure Burley? Well, had a good season with Ipswich, got them promoted, then failed miserably in the EPL and got them relegated straight away. Has had a career of ups and downs but the UPs have never lasted more than a season and have never been at the top level. 3 months at hearts is about as good as it gets for him. So why are these guys considered great prospects? For my ideal model I go to Liverpool in the 20 years from the mid 60s - they had success with establishing a system and promoting from within. I say we get our young coaches in place now, have Walter run the ship for a few years, then let him hand over to the next in line, whether it be McCoist, Durrant, McCall, McDowell or whoever. That way we are nto changing entire coaching staffs every few years and our team has consistancy of tactics, styles of play, etc etc etc
  17. seems like that is the story from late yesterday Not really news to us, we knew the SFA wouldnt release him from the contract, we pretty much know they are after compensation. What we do not knwo is whether Walter will just start work with us right away and leave him open to a possible lawsuit, or whether he will wait till the SFA and Rangers agree on the amountof compensation Lets face it, the SFA cannot hold Walter against his will, they cannot make him coach the national team.
  18. wow - the FISH starts his own thread for once, usually he waits to hijack others. Tell me - do you have anything positive to say at all about Rangers? Anything at all? BTW - as regards McDowell, the man has been held in high regard for some time and has done wonder in his job at Celtic. Now he gets the chance to move up a level, so whatever the reasons I for one welcome him into the club and will give him my support.
  19. Personally - Im not sure Celtic want these players. But if it drives the price up for us and others, then that is in their interests. Also in the interests of the player and the agent. So it may be that Celtic are letting it known that they are interested, maybe the agent is - who knows. What I do know is that everyone wins except us
