  1. Left in 1982! He also owns most of the taxis in the Vale and Dumbarton! Got to know the big man well when he started out with the wee shop in Tully. Remember when he got me the Admiral top about a month before it was officially released! Lol
  2. Big Alan who owns or owned Dempseys is big bluenose. Did you go to VOLA? If so what year did you leave?
  3. Or the Mill of Haldane(that's the posh name! Lol) Originally from Tully myself!
  4. Or it could be he is building a squad for when we do eventually get back to the top teir?
  5. Tommy is the token Tim of the band but is a good guy. Been to a couple of games with wee Neil though a few years back.

  7. I am looking for help with a poster design, and business card design for my singing act. My act comprises of the big band era songs. I have an idea of what I am looking for but unfortunately do not have Photoshop so obviously need help? Thanks!
  8. Just noticed this post! I would have fixed it for you no problem and for no cash! Glad it is sorted now! One wee point is that I would have loved the last line to have said, 'the worlds most successful football club!'
  9. Lol! Brings back the memories! Mine had a Union flag at the front and RFC on both sides, that and my silk scarf tied round my wrist and let's not forget the bell bottom jeans! Lol Sadly no pictures but I still have the scarf!
  10. Have always enjoyed reading your views and I have to say that this journey of ours has hopefully taught the younger Bears amongst us, that it is all about the football, as is shown by yourself and every other supporter of the lower league teams. Although I was born and brought up a Bear there were/are a few family members who followed the Vale and Dumbarton religiously home and away so I myself appreciate and admire your own loyalty to a team that realistically will never get away from the lower divisions. I also hope that the extra money gained this season will be used wisely and helps your team for future endeavours. As others have said, although our journey together is at an end there is no need to stay away from the forum, keep us posted with the goings on at the Mighty Shire!
  11. Great portrait! If you softened the wrinkles/facial features and added a black outline to the figure and ball, then it would be almost bang on for the style you want to achieve.

  13. Loved the big man! What i have always found sad and disgusted me was the treatment dished out to him and his lovely wife when they were asked to leave Ibrox before a game, on Sounesses orders! Disgusting! The guy should have always been welcome! Shame on Souness for that action!
  14. What about a hospitality ticket/s for children and their families from a hospice or sick hospital? or even a verteran or 2 from Erskine hospital?
  15. We all know this has been a problem area for Rangers supporters. The only way for all the supporters to fall under the one umberalla is for the club to activley impliment an official supporters group that will encompass ALL supporters and for ALL supporters to get behind and actively support that group. With regards to who would run the supporters group then the club should appoint someone as a figure head,John Grieg for example and the rest of the committee it should be by an election process that would change anually through a decromatic voting process. Not difficult to achieve if everyone gets behind the idea. I know there would be voices of concern, namely the guys who would want their own selfish little slice of power for themselves, but surely if Charles Green and Ally McCoist got behing the idea then i am sure that the vast majority of the support would back the scheme. It really is time for all the various supporters groups in their many guises to put aside their differences and work as one with the club for the club, if not then they would be the ones on the outside looking in!
  16. He is a sound big bloke, known him for a few years!
  17. He's back on a snagging list! Might tell him on Monday,no info no dosh!
  18. I think DK was being very clever, as obviously he clearly knew who the disgraced lawyer was and that is why he kept saying he would rather take the word of a lawyer, every time that wee scroat tried to mention the disgraced bigoted lawyers name! lol
  19. Talking to a joiner who is doing some work for me at the moment, who is a big Hearts man,and also a youth team coach for them, and he has been asking around and no one seems to know anything about this? Which to me is strange in itself considering his connection to them? Has to be said, and fair play to the fella,he has no axe to grind with us, and never has, and finds it all very sad that the atmosphere has changed amongst some of both our support towards each other.
  20. I agree wholeheartedly with all of your sentiments, but it will take time for the laws to be changed i suspect, so in the meantime why attract any negativity to our support. We have the chance to do something constructive which will no doubt reflect favourablly upon the UB and TBO.
  21. I am a great fan of the Union Bears and the Blue Order, especially as they bring a much needed element to Ibrox, namely fun and atmosphere. Let's be honest, how many of us older Bears would love to be activley involved? My nephew would love me to be involved, but i am afraid sadly that those looney days are gone, but as i told him and his mates their efforts are greatly appreciated by everyone in Ibrox! The danger is that sometimes they can and do get carried away, the folly of youth i am afraid and we have all been there at one time or another! Now before anyone thinks i am casting aspertions then please let me explain my thinking. Again through my nephew and his mates i know just how enamoured they are with some of the supporters from the continent, and yes it does look impressive, especially some of the Turkish or Greek supporters with their flares, flags and smoke bombs etc.. but as i have tried to explain to them you have to remember that those countries have very different laws and tollerances shown towards them than we have. To go beyond those laws and rules will only backfire on them and the good name of the club! The problem lies when you have a couple of hundred young teenagers and a few within them will try and push the boundries now and again, and being teenagers caught up in the excitment, they will get carried away and follow suit! Then the problems will arise and we as a support and club will suffer the consequences. I myself see no harm in certain songs or banners,i would be a complete hypocrite if i did? Again we have to follow the laws of the land, whether we agree with them or not. Not to do so will stir up the hornets nest within the mhedia, who wait to jump on any silly or petty issue that could cause us harm! We have to be clever and devious to the extent where we know where the boundries lie and not cross them. Play them at their own game so to speak! Surely we can find peaceful, legal ways of making our voices and complaints known and challenge the apparent crazy laws that limit our own free speach? The point i am trying to make is maybe it is time for stricter self policing within the UB and BO? I don't want bully boy techniques displayed but maybe fines, banning from the groups etc.. if anyone continues to step out of line? Who knows? maybe if policed correctly certain individuals within the club will actually agree to the sections being increased and the full front of the Broomloan can be used to great effect? We cannot allow all the good work we have done to clean up our image, which was unfairly and wrongly, tarred and slurried with a bigoted brush, which as we all know was nowhere near the truth and in no way reflected the overall Rangers support! Does anyone agree? or have their own sollutions to sort this out before it does get out of hand further down the line?
