  1. Like any striker, but more so Boyd, they need service! Something that is severely lacking. How many times do we see a cross not even getting past the first man? Without service he won't score, simple as that!
  2. About 50 odd,I think?with at least a dozen of these at the piggery!
  3. Spot on! The guy is a first grade bam pot looking to cause controversy! With regards to racial hatred then it is obvious that this fool really hasn't spent much time in amongst that lot to jump to that conclusion. I am sure a quick google search would help him on racial hatred being shown by that lot on social media etc.. It is worth repeating that by and large, West Coast footballing Protestants do not let their religious leanings have any influence in choosing the team to ply their trade with, solely down to religion. With the lack of foreign players in our game until the 80's the landscape for signings were by and large local boys. This is where the problem for us began and is continually twisted to suit certain sectarian agendas. If we went out and tried to sign a West Coast Roman Catholic, which we tried on numerous occasions in the past, the usual reply was a resounding 'NO' Why? Not because they had a better offer on the table, no but Because of their own twisted bigoted views, which were reinforced by their families and friends, resulted in them not wanting to sign for the big bad Rangers! And so the cycle kept repeating itself, and still does to an extent today. If you look at the high profile signing of Mo Johnston, there was far more bile and hatred being spewed forth by that lot, not because he snubbed them for us, but because he had the audacity as a West Coast Roman Catholic to sign for Rangers! Even recently with the high profile signing of a Republic of Ireland Roman Catholic ( apparently the epitome of all things Church of Rome in some twisted eyes) we experienced the bile of sectarian hatred being spewed forth by that lots supporters! As I said,on the other hand a footballer of Protestant persuasion basically chose the highest bidder to ply his trade with little or no thought as to the clubs religious leanings. So who are the true sectarian and racial bigots?
  4. Comedy gold! A wee memo to Green! 'A good liar needs a good memory!' Something he lacks completely! Whyte should have persevered with how much he took out of the club and pressed him why he thought that the naming rights being sold for a pound was a good deal for the club? Lastly King wants and has tried to put money into the club but has been refused on a couple of occasions, why is that Charlie boy? And he also seems sure the Sleazdales have not taken anything out if the club, really? And you know this how exactly? Nothing but a chancer who knows the game will be up shortly and hopefully we will get all the 'Facts' out in the open! Tick, tock!
  5. A lot of the work with the youths at Hearts was done before Levein jumped on board! So I fail to see, this early on, just how his appointment has changed things?
  6. You could be right but crucially do you think the current regime would want that scenario? It could be a turning point for getting people on board who genuinely want what is best for us in the long term. You will always get glory hunters at successful clubs, and we are no exception. As for the fans staying away in our current situation it is not only the state of our football on offer that determines that. There is also the unwanted aspect of the running of the club and the guys in place. Sort the boardroom out first and foremost and the team will naturally follow.
  7. Please explain why this would kill us as a big club for a decade? Sorry, I just don't buy that logic? Maybe I am missing something? We are, and always will be a big club, even if it meant we have to endure another season in the lower divisions. What that would actually do is start to strangle the fortunes of the very clubs that tried, and failed, to kill us. As I have said I would, reluctantly endure that scenario, if it meant that we rid the club of the very parasites who are only here to fill their boots,at any cost to us. I honestly do not see Ashley and co as some kind of saviour and he is only here to see what he can take from us, with very little ,but much needed cash input! Loans, on his favourable terms yes, but cash injection for our long term benefit? All he and the other charltons will do is secure as much of us as possible to line their deep pockets, making us as a viable going concern for any future buyer, an empty shell, thus discouraging any investment. The current regime have done nothing to dispel this theory for me.
  8. Although I agree with your sentiment regarding the football on display and agree that you have a right to voice those concern, I still believe that it is a short term solution in the grand scheme of things. Yes, I agree that by boycotting merchandise etc is damaging the club, but crucially it will also damage the very guys who are not in this for the love of the club, but I fail to see any other option to orchestrate change within the old lady for the long term future of our club. If you,or any other individual knows of another way to get that change, I and many others would love to hear it? The AGM should prove interesting? I've followed Rangers for close on 50 years and even through the dismal, bleak periods of our history, I have never known a period of turmoil such as what we have been put through over the past few years. It just gets from bad to worse and is really heartbreaking to watch charlatans come in and rape and pillage their way through our club for their own ends. Personally I would sacrifice a few years in the wilderness if it meant getting rid of the current regime and getting much needed stability back. It hurts to even think that way but I honestly can think of no other option.
  9. I voted no! Quite simply we have bigger problems at Ibrox that need to be addressed first! Once that is all sorted then we can look at the manager, but protest? I find it strange that any protest against the board on here is usually shot down but a protest against our manager is by and large lauded?
  10. I don't know? I think that there are individuals who would be willing to invest but are put both by the existing deals that are in place and the fact they would be lining the pockets of the actual problem who have it all tied up? For that you would need someone, or some group, with enough wealth that wouldn't flinch at those obstacles!
  11. The answer lies in who is behind them and put them there in the first place!
  12. My guess would be 5 years after we get rid of the leeches that are sucking the life blood from the club! Still find it very strange that some of our support still back the current board? The club needs total cleansing of all these parasites but that will take time and new investment from someone who does want to return us to our rightful place instead of looking at us as a cash cow! Sad state of affairs!
  13. Would still love to see the club crest for the badge and just the number 12 on the back with the individuals name. The option to have your own name would obviously cost more but this could be linked to the Rangers charity?
  14. Haven't got photoshop,so could someone kindly knock up a plain orange shirt with blue v neck collar and a blue side panel and the club crest for the badge. For me it has to be a simple design!
  15. The sad fact is that we can talk, blog, expose the facts etc.. But nothing will change, nothing will be gained for the club,UNLESS we take legal action! Doubt the club will ever go down that route but we the fans can do this if we ALL pull together instead of petty squabbles between us,which is especially true with the forums!
  16. An absolute gentleman,in the true sense of the word, and one of the finest players to ever grace our club! His move to Chelsea almost resulted in divorce for him as his good lady was not one bit pleased that he wanted to leave for one last pay day. It took a lot of convincing from him to persuade her to move!
  17. A fitting and touching tribute! RIP Manticore, you will be sadly missed on here and elsewhere! My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
  18. I had/ have no problems with guys like Green coming out and saying they are in it for the money! What I do have a problem with is how they achieve that end, especially when it has been proved that it was to the detriment of our club! Secondly I don't buy into the thought that 'Rangers Men' should have bailed us out! As I do not believe for one second that that would have happened due to the administrators choice selection etc... It has been a stitch up from the beginning and unfortunately some of our support have bought into that, as many threads on here testify! I dread to think where this will all end if we do not,as a support, unite and put our differences aside with regards to certain individuals!
  19. Like everyone else, why run this story again after so many years? My own account, told to me by someone inside Ibrox, was that Souness was behind the decision! Ironically he also got rid of my source and his father not long after!
  20. I remember back in 89 we lost to the scum 1-0 to deny us a treble that year and the day after I picked up the phone in my then girlfriends parents house to be greeted by a chirpy McCoist wanting to speak to my girlfriends sister, who he was knocking off at the time. Still a bit hungover and totally posed of I let rip and after a barrage of abuse from myself about the days beforehand performance I was met once again by laughter before I slammed the phone down! So I have to say that I have first hand experience of how Ally reacts to criticism and defeat!
  21. Guess you weren't around in the early eighties? Here's the thing, we have no god given right to win any game, we have to work hard and earn that right! Trouble is we don't have many of the calibre of player with the right attitude at this moment in time, irregardless of who is manager unfortunately! Hopefully that will change in the not too distant future?
  22. A great are tickle simply because it states facts and not knee jerk opinions looking for a reaction! My biggest problem and concern is that this is something that should be said in an official capacity from the club!
